Civilibra - Uneven Worldsizes

In 1 collection by Terra
Civilibra - Modpack (work in progress)
18 items
Description
Contains Worldsizes for uneven numbers of players: In the unmodded game, only map sizes for even numbers of players were available. It was possible to change the number of players (e.g. pick 5 players on a "Small" map) but the actual map size and player positions were not adjusted. While this is not much of a problem in singleplayer games, it makes an unfair map or bot in multiplayer necessary.
This mod prevents exactly this by adding map sizes for 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 players and adjusting all necessary values accordingly.

Does not work as usual mods do! Requires starting the game with JdH's CiV MP Mod Manager[civ5.jaiiderherr.de] or executing Multiplayer Mods Workaround!

Compatability Issues
As this mod as well as Barathor's More Luxuries both edit the file AssignStartingPlot.lua, both mods are in principle incompatible. For this special case, however, I included a nasty fix: Go to the directory where mods are saved (usually "...\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS") and copy the content of the file AssignStartingPlots_lux.lua in the "Civilibra - Uneven Worldsizes (v XY)" directory to AssignStartingPlots.lua in "More Luxuries (v XY)\Lua". Then make sure that this mod is loaded before the More Luxuries mod upon startup.

Okay, so the problem is quite an easy but unfortunately fundamental one: Both this mod and Barathor's "More Luxuries" mod, for example, have to edit the file AssignStartingPlots.lua. This means that when loading the mods only one version of the file is loaded and the mods don't work together.
I'm currently working on a small and nasty workaround that'll allow to play Barathor's More Luxuries and this mod together. However, the fix won't be nice and it would be better not to use both mods at the same time.

Hey!
Hm, okay, this is weird and should definitely not happen. I'll have a look at it as soon as possible. Thanks for reporting it!

hey, ive been playing with this mod using multiplayer mod workaround, yet whenever i gen a map using the odd map sizes, no luxuries generate. might be due to me using more luxuries mod but idk, it works fine on even sizes.
