Description
(UPDATE: 9/30/2018) This station is now updated to work properly with Combat Update Pt. II.

The Muthos Engineering Consortium "Industrial Hexagon" is a new station design with all of the latest ameneties. Featuring an armored, highly customizable interior, this station can be easily adapted to suit whatever your needs may be.

Key features of the MEC Industrial Hexagon:

-9 upgrade slots
-Armored internals
-Several large frameworks for customization
-Good hangar space, with six downward-facing "Swarm Pod Mk. II" hangar bays
-Flight deck with six maintenence pads
-Central control tower
-A generous number of foosball tables

Armament:

-4x size 2.5 weapons mounts
-4x size 1 point defense hardpoints

Two plates with the MEC company logo can be found on opposite sides of the flight deck's central control tower. Customers are encouraged (though not required) to replace these with their own heraldry or insignias.

By default, the Industrial Hexagon comes equipped with VPD-2 and VT-2 custom turrets. If you'd like to use other MEC turrets with it, check out the MEC Signature Collection!

The (decorative) docked fighters/shuttles on the flight deck are:

Three VCS-1 'Atropilosa' cargo shuttles (one ready to go, one powered down and awaiting a generator replacement, one having its cargo bay removed for repairs).

One VF-1B 'Xanthoptera' mining fighter (having its cutting laser replaced).

One VF-2 'Luctuosa' bomber (ready to go).

All of these designs and more are available in the MEC signature catalogue.

This station was intended as the core section of a modular design. I may add some expansion modules for it in the future. The flight deck was a lot of fun to make and it's something that I've been looking for an excuse to build for a while.

Thank you! I had the idea for a heagon-shaped station floating around for a while. I build somewhat spontaneously, though, so a lot of it was just kind of made up as I went along. I really had a lot of fun with the flight deck.
