This is a themed collection designed as a full faction, either for players or possibly as NPCs in future versions of Avorion. Lore-wise, the Muthos Engineering Consortium is a massive interstellar corporation that is active throughout most of the galaxy's inner rim. They place a fairly heavy emphasis on fighters, offering a wide variety of fighter designs and featuring hangars on most of their medium or large ships and stations.

MEC Signature ships and fighters are Xanion tier, black and yellow, and named after social wasps.

In addition to the Signature Catalogue, the MEC also has "Legacy" and "Holiday" product lines. They also operate a subsidiary, Zethina Manufacturing, that specializes in modular spacecraft components.
