Metal Doesn't Burn

Description
No really metal really shouldn't beable to just spontaneously catch fire, at worse it might melt a little and even that shouldn't be possible with the heat produced by fire in this game. So after spending way to much time on google looking up info on metals and what can burn or at what temp they need to be at to even melt (i'm probably on a watch list now) I have returned here to fix this grievous error made by rimworld to set fire back to its proper place.

With this mod fire will no longer beable to burn down metal walls or doors. To be honest probably should't beable to burn the stacks of these items either. For specifics Gold, silver, steel, plasteeel, and jade should no longer be burnable.

If you're on a watch list for that, I'm definitely on a watch list with how I research chemicals. (Chem Major (I swear that's all it is I'm not Walter White (but I do need the money)))

Geez louise.... :steamfacepalm: I have to wonder if some people are either too lazy to search the Workshop for alternative or (continued) mods, or if the thought of doing so never occurred to them... :lunar2020sweatrat: Search is your friend!

Never run into any issues using this with the new update so seems the outdated warning doesn't mean anything.

@Kalas-Hydra wrote, "conduits are covered in plastic for insulation so they are flammable"

Counter-argument: Fire-resistant (and even fire-proof) insulation for wires are a thing. And while many homes have wiring inside PVC plastic conduits, some use steel tubing instead. (I've seen steel conduit installed, personally.)

Besides, not even PVC catches fire that easily - unless the fire gets super hot. And it's not like a fuse that burns along it's length once lit. Some plumbers use fire - like a blow torch - to repair PVC pipe or to soften and then bend it into a curve to go around corners or tight spaces.

Anyway, in-game, vanilla Power conduits are made of nothing but steel. No other material is used to make them. So I'd assume they're mostly or all steel. The author of the Conduits Don't Burn mod argued quote, "...burning one cable in half wouldn't destroy the wiring in an entire base".
