Description
This mod is no longer actively being maintained, but anyone may pick it up in my stead in the event that it breaks. All I ask is that the original Caves of Qud Expanded mod not be updated, as it is very special to me, though anyone may use it as a reference for their own mods. I'm stepping away from modding Caves of Qud, if you'd like to know more you can see the description of the original Caves of Qud Expanded mod page below. Live and drink, friends.

Fixed for Spring Molting

Hey everybody, this is a standalone upload of a feature from my base mod, Caves of Qud Expanded. With this mod (or the base mod), Joppa will still spawn as usual even when using an alternate start. However, the Stilt Zealot will not spawn in Joppa during alternate starts, as he spawns in the player's starting location instead.

As a standalone mod, this mod does not require the base mod, in fact there's no point in installing both as it is already incorporated into the base mod. If you enjoy the mod, feel free to give a thumbs up, it means a lot more to me than you might think.

hey, villagers of Joppa seem to generate as a faction for Mehmet, Irudad and the other, but it is neither listed in the Listed Factions nor is it possible to affect reputation with the faction

You may want to update this mod, as it uses the old version of Joppa. Its not critical, but this version is missing the special bed in Argyve's shop, the changes made to Tam's shop, and the waterwheel on the left side of town. Like I said, its not super important, but Joppa looks a bit nicer with the updated stuff.

It would be impossible for this mod to force you to start in Joppa, as the only two things it does are replace the file for the destroyed version of Joppa with the default one, and change the World Map tile for destroyed Joppa to the default one.

What mods do you have? If you have another mod that adds/edits genotypes and hasn't been updated since the alternate starts patch, that's most likely what's causing it. Prior to the alternate starts update, the starting location was specified in Genotypes.xml, but that's no longer the case, so if someone hasn't updated their mod, then it's very likely they still have Joppa's coordinates set as the starting location.
