Description
Completely fictitious mission, with VQI, Hermes, Drongos, ACE, EOS and MGI.

Roleplay
You are part of a SF group acting on a country in the edge of a political coup.

Situation
The government promotes attrition between the rich and the poor, between north and south and, between right and left wings. Schools now teach sex and politics instead of sciences and math. The laws prohibit Police to shoot armed criminals, ONG's belonging to the friends of political leaders receive extra millions in investments. The government is creating new taxes and tickets everyday to drain what was left from the mid class and it does nothing to stop property invading groups. Honest people have lost hope in the future.

Intelligence
Analysts believe the government is promoting chaos to justify a dictatorship later. It is known that, at least one neighbor country with similar political positioning is sending forces across the border to support the government's coups. Also, further investigations reveal that corruption's money is being used to pay PMC's for training local property invading groups. Those PMC's are ramming their cars over passers-by and civilian cars, increasing the tension in the region and forcing the good civilians to fight for their families on their own.

Goal
Generate attrition against the corrupt government and its supporting groups. Help honest civilians to keep their right to property, eliminate opposing PMC's, mitigate the property invading issue, destroy opposing machinery, push back foreign forces, perform covert missions given by high command.

Support
Police and military ROE is to avoid engaging civilians (criminals still count as civilians). However, the anti-government resistance will provide you support on clandestine operations with artillery and helicopter transport but, watch out for the regular army, for they don't know who you are and could shoot you just in case. Your base of operations is a covert local farm.

Gameplay
Remember that, bullet proof vests are bullet proof. AI groups will spawn 1400 meters away from you. It means that nearby cities will send QRF's against you. Keep covert and ambush them. Use snipers for long range recon. Do not enter slams being unarmed. You can respawn inside your vehicles so, use them as mobile bases. Be ready for CQB too. Consider infil by HALO and exfil by helo's. HALO menu is in the ammo box and helicopter call is in your support menu, as well as artillery calls. Expect to be engaged by military allies because they don't know what or who you are. Remember, only a few people know about your presence in the country so, be responsible and avoid unnecessary killing of friendlies.

Oh, had a Steam/BI razzia today because i "forgot to pay" for the contact dlc so all of my arma files are back to stock.... Verdammt noch mal! will take a day or two to get everything up and running again.. I hate it when that happens.. ;-p

True. Sucks. it takes mr von Quest way too long to finally wrap it up. The eod addon is, what, 4-5 years old now? Has never worked properly. Could be a marvellous mod but maybe too damn big to maintain.

yeah that's why I am geting rid of it, it also demands too much fps, which is why I prefer the EOS at the moment but it also has drawbacks, like for example, the triggers turn green even before you liberate the villages so, it is not possible to make police units spawn after villages are liberated, they spawn at the same time you "touch" the trigger, when they spawn at all ... because you can only "use" the trigger once in the configs, you can't have 2 lines with the same trigger ...

no problem ;) aha! i thought it might be an update related issue also. I un binned the mission so i can change missing assets myself. (won't publish it, just for my own pleasure) Really like your other efforts so please take your time. it's a nice way for me to figure out how to script and compile missions. The vqi stuff in zero dark thirty though... it's sooo buggy and sooo much WIP. I can't go anywhere with that. It's a lot of stuff and very little explaining. Can't get it to do what it's supposed to. 18 hours on end tweaking and restarting arma over and over takes me to a point where i bug out. But still... the next day i'll try again =D hate it when i just don't understand stuff!

Keep up the good work! looking forward to seeing the update.

Hi Dutch, sorry I haven't answered before. From time to time moders must review everything because BI keeps changing things. I don't remember why I had to change the factions piece of my mod so, this is why it is not working. Please, try the Tanoa version. Once we are happy with the Tanoa version I port it to other maps.
