Vanilla Clan Base (Split TC)

Description
This is a VANILLA base for a Small to Medium-sized Clan

I'm not gonna lie, there's a lot going on in this base, and it's going to take some skill to build. Here's why:

The Upkeep time on this base is just under 24 HOURS!

Concept: Since one TC only houses 24 slots, building big bases is damn near impossible unless you have someone on 24/7 to farm and refill the TC. Here's the thing, you're not looking at 1 base, but 3 inter-locking bases (with small gaps to keep the build IDs separate), each with a TC that only needs to be refilled every 24 hours.

Tips on how to build: Several concepts you need to be familiar with. First, you need how to do *tight* double-wall stacks (8-squares out, triangles in, example provided in fortify build). You also need to be familiar with Off-set foundations, and how they create ceilings every half-level. Lastly, you need to be familiar with how to keep build IDs SEPARATE (that means no foundations, ceilings or walls can touch between buildings). Last but not least, if you're familiar with TC-radius, you will know that this build requires that the outter TCs have to be built BEFORE the core expands, or else you will be TC-blocked.

Features: Mutiple open rooms (for beds, or whatever), LOTS of storage, defense window floor, Heli-floor, furnace/refinery rooms, and viewable entrances.

Upkeep Cost - time until refill:
Core = 1.5k stone, 17k metal, 170 HQ – 23 hours
Outter Wing (x2) = 6k Stone, 16k metal, 90 HQ - 24 hours

Total Upkeep Cost: 14k stone per day, 49k metal, 350 HQ
(for a 10-man clan, that's 1.5 stone nodes, 8 metal nodes per day for each person, plus some road-recycing runs for the HQ)

Build Cost:
Wood: 83k+
Stone: 65k+
Metal: 208k+
HQM: 1000+
(Build costs may vary depending on features inside. Be mindful to not fill extra walls in the honey-combing that you don't need!)

Defensibility (distance to core):
- 6 walls to inner core (4 walls to a loot room)
- 12 doors to inner core
**What this means, is it takes 24 (48 rockets) c4 just to get to the core ... and once there, raiders have to spend more to spread out to all the loot rooms. Also, finding the central TC won't give them building priv because of the split TCs, so they won't be able to wall/door themselves inside. Basically, this is a nightmare for raiders, even if they do have a full box of rockets

Tech needed: Floor grates, vertical embraisures, Shelves, High External Stone Wall, ladder hatches, turrets, flame turrets, shotgun traps, lockers, beds, refineries, Large furnace, Garage Doors, armored doors (double too)

It is entirely possible to build this base WITHOUT tier 3 tech, and fill it in when you get it. You can even build it without the large furnace/High Externals, until you save up for them.

This Design includes stage-by-stage build plans to let you move from a tier 1 Workbench starter all the way to a fully upgraded tier 3 design ... however, I'd suggest having a seperate starter base to gather mats, since the "starter" has a high cost and needs many doors.

Stage 1: Placing core TC
Stage 2: Placing External TCs
Stage 3: "starter"
Stage 4: Early goal - tier 2 WB
Stage 5: Good stopping spot for night 1 - Tier 3 WB
Stage 6: Full Base (but needs upgrades)
Stage 7: Complete base (afte upgrades and tech)

** Note: Stage 8 and 9 are not actualy buidlign stages, but show each piece of the base seperately, so you can estimate cots on those individual parts
Stage 8: Seperate parts of "complete" metaled base
Stage 9: Seperate parts of the "full" stoned base

Great base, good job man, do you have new 2020 split tc base?

That outter ring cooridor will have some places where that will happen. I think in game, I had put them in different locations ... but mostly in the squares that lead towards the main exits. Those are prolly the most important anyways.

Thanks. check out my profile for some other ideas w/ split ideas

it's all about geometry ... an dit works on ANY core shape. Got an uber glitchy super base? Wanna add layers of honeycombing ON TOP of that? this is how!

You should call this one Gemini. I feel that would be a sick name for it

Yo this thing is nuts. Thanks for sharing this. Looks like there is hope for unique bases.

A lot of people have been asking for videos about this and other bases I've done with "split TCs". Video-Build master Vice finally got around to doing a base like this, and explains the concept pretty well, and how to execute it. It also show the *POWER* of what a split TC base can be when coupled with many other building-tricks.

Hope you Enjoy!
