DEPRECATED
I'm no longer maintaining this mod and likely won't even respond to comments here. This game option (and many more) is maintained in my flagship mod: DB's Civ VI Gold. Unsubscribe to this and subscribe to that.




REQUIRES: RISE AND FALL & GATHERING STORM (click here for a previous version that doesn't need Gathering Storm)

SUMMARY
The pantheon choices are all replaced with powerful geography-based beliefs with names from Greek mythology. You can opt for either a small bonus on some kind of common terrain (like rivers or forests) or a big bonus on a desolate or rare type of terrain (like deserts or mines over strategic resources).

I went this route to reinforce the designers' principle of making the map more relevant to your civilization. Since every civilization gets one exclusive pantheon, I wanted a dynamic where you choose your kind of turf and then get big rewards for it. And it creates a huge incentive to forcibly take over someone else's city when they aren't respecting your holy ground. Or sacred cows.

And if you're not playing with SOLI DEO GLORIA, consider my mod that moves the non-geographic Pantheons to Religious Beliefs... so that sweet Goddess of the Harvest stays in the game as an Enhancer Belief.

ALPHEUS
+1 Gold from River tiles
Holy Site districts get +5 Faith from an adjacent River

APHRODITE
+2 Faith from tiles with Breathtaking Appeal
Districts with Breathtaking Appeal get +2 Faith

APOLLO
+1 Production and +2 Culture from Pastures
Pastures get +5 Faith when next to a Holy Site
+5 Faith on Oracle

ARES
+500 Faith for each Barbarian Outpost cleared.
+500 Faith upon capturing a city.
Holy Sites next to an Encampment get +10 Faith

ARTEMIS
+2 Food, +1 Production, and +1 Gold from Camps
Camps get +5 Faith when next to a Holy Site
+5 Faith on Temple of Artemis

ATHENA
+1 Production and +2 Science from Banana, Citrus, Cotton, Dyes, Olives, Silk, and Sugar Plantations. Also Berries, Dates, and Tomatoes, if playing with Resourceful2 mod.
These also get +5 Faith when next to a Holy Site

ATLAS
+2 Production and +1 Faith from Quarries
Quarries get +4 Faith when next to a Holy Site

DEMETER
+2 Food on Farms (including Terrace Farms)
Farms get +3 Faith when next to a Holy Site

DIONYSUS
+100 Amenities for this city from Plantations on Cocoa, Coffee, Incense, Spices, Tea, Tobacco, and Wine Plantations. Also Aloe, Poppies, and Saffron, if playing with Resourceful2 mod.
These also get +5 Faith when next to a Holy Site

GAIA
+1 Food from Rainforest tiles.
Holy Site districts get +2 Faith from adjacent Rainforest tiles

HADES
+1 Production and +5 Gold from Mines over Luxury and Bonus resources
These mines get +5 Faith when next to a Holy Site

HELIOS
+1 Food, +1 Production, +1 Faith, and +1 Gold from Desert tiles (but not Floodplains and Oasis)
Holy Site districts get +1 Faith from adjacent Desert tiles
+5 Faith on Colossus

HEPHAESTUS
+1 Production, +1 Science, +1 Culture, +1 Faith, and +1 Gold from Mines over Strategic resources
These mines get +5 Faith when next to a Holy Site

HERA
Your cities are immune from loyalty pressure.
Holy Sites receive +1/3/6/10/15/21 Faith based on the number of governor titles the city's governor has

HERMES
Your cities within trade route range automatically have a road to your capital. Roads in your territory are one level more advanced than usual (e.g. classical instead of ancient).
Harvesting a resource or removing a feature receives Faith equal to the other yield's quantity
+1 Faith on Mercury

HESTIA
+1 Gold from Forest tiles
Holy Site districts get +1 Faith from adjacent Forest tiles

PAN
+2 Food and +2 Culture from Marsh, Oasis, and Desert Floodplain tiles
Holy Site districts get +3 Faith from adjacent Marsh, Oasis, and Desert Floodplain tiles

PERSEPHONE
+1 Food, +1 Production, and +1 Faith from Tundra and Snow tiles
Holy Site districts get +1 Faith from adjacent Tundra and Snow tiles

POSEIDON
+3 Production, and +1 Faith on Ocean tiles.
+1 Faith on Horse tiles.
Holy Site districts get +2 Faith from adjacent Coast/Ocean tiles.

ZEUS
Mountains provide a +1 adjacency bonus to Aerodromes[Production], Aqueducts[Food], Campuses[Science], Commercial Hubs[Gold], Encampments[Production], Entertainment Complexes[Culture], Harbors[Gold], Holy Sites[Faith], Industrial Zones[Production], Neighborhoods[Faith], Theater Squares[Culture] and Water Parks[Science].

Hi DB,
your mod has been translated by duestere Legende into German and the translation is now part of the German translations for Civilization VI mods mod pack.
We would be more than happy if you could refer to the language translation in your mod description.

Just a quick note to say that this mod is now deprecated but the idea lives on as a Game Option in DB's Civ VI Gold .

to be honest the 500 faith from capturing cities can easily get out of hand if you manage to rush to theocracy

Sorry, my man. I can't help you unless you can narrow down the bug to one of my mods. Create a test game with just this mod and report back. And please don't post that someone's mod "needs to be updated" unless you've done a test like that and can say for sure that the issue is in that particular mod.

No the problem is that I play with 46 other mods so maybe it's because of religion expanded ? Otherwise I have no Idea
