Description
UPDATE: Compatible with GS (optional) now.
LEGACY ONLY: This mod is now fully incorporated into my Urban Complexity - Government Plaza Expansion mod, where support will continue. I will keep this mod here uploaded for those who already started games with it and for anyone who wants to have this feature as a standalone. But for the full experience, I recommend changing over to the new mod.

Description:

Does exactly what the title says: when you build a Government Plaza, it triggers a Culture Bomb.

This way, every civ has guaranteed access to at least one culture bomb every game, without enabling a too liberal use. If your Civ has no other sources for culture bombs, you only get one, so use it wisely!

No more adjacency bonuses from foreign Government Plazas. Your seat of power will remain untouched by foreign borders and all adjacent tiles where a sweet adjacency bonus awaits shall be yours!

Compatibility:

Obviously requires R&F.

Also, I recommend not using this together with other mods which change the Government Plaza. They may be compatible, or they may not, or balance could be impacted negatively (e.g. when used together with JFD's Rule with Faith).

Thanks for this mod JNR! One request - can you remove the FrontEndActions section from your modinfo file? I see no reason this mod needs to be loaded in the front end. The InGameActions section should be sufficient.

The above change should get rid of these errors in the logs which seem to be caused by this mod.

@dnarik: that might just be coincidence. I've seen the AI do incredibly smart things that were almost certainly just luck. I see plenty of Government Plazas built by the AI which aren't used for the culture bomb.

Also, the adjacency is a) overrated, since it's one-way, and b) the AI doesn't pre-plan it's district placement to make much use of it anyway. It only ever builds districts based on current adjacencies available, not soon-to-be adjacencies. Which is why it's good at placing Holy Sites and Campuses next to mountains, but that's it.

interestingly enough, with this mod on AI actually tries to use cluire bomb ability, and saves his Government Plaza for a good bomb. I think it might understand how the mod works and use it for it's advantage - although usually they would be better off just using it for the adjacencies

ahh, ok - thought that might be it, but was more hoping it was a bug. That's fine. Cool mod anyway, and I shall never no use it! :-)

Fine ! Thank you very much !

@BINARYGOD This is intended behavior (by Firaxis, not by me): Culture bombs never give you tiles outside a city's workable range.

@Moyocoya the mod is compatible with GS, I adjusted it last week already.

OK, thank you ! Hope the author will update !

didn't work, I created it at the edge of the cities usable area, and nothing happened. Possibly that this needs an update (non of my other mods touch the plaza).

Does it work with GS ?
