Longer Range Vanilla Weapons (Dawnguard Edition)

Description
==Please Read==

Okay, so this one has been a long time coming. Here's the Dawnguard edition of my other Longer Range Vanilla Weapons mod that was pretty popular. I got a lot of requests for the dawnguard edition, so here it is. If you want the non-Dawnguard version, you can find it here;

https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=110050477

THIS MOD DOES REQUIRE DAWNGUARD, and Hearthfire is useful, without Hearthfire there may or may not be a game crashing bug. But WITH Hearthfire it will always work flawlessly.

This mod is super simple, it just fixes something that really bothered me about the game. I always play as a stealth archer. That means I ussually try to snipe enemies from far away. I don't know about you guys, but I will frequently go outside of the effective range of the bows in game. This mod fixes that. All the vanilla bows and dawnguard ranged weapons have had their range increased x3. (2000 to 6000) Making it really hard to get out of the weapons effective range.

It applies to NPC's as well, so they can shoot at you from farther away.

Kill cams should NOT work past 2000 (meters? units of length.) 2000 is the Vanilla Default. There might be a way to fix that, but it would get into scripting, and that's something I don't feel like taking on at the moment.

This mod is really only a benefit for you, it doesn't slow your game at all and is compatible with just about any mod out there. (Please let me know if you find conflicts.) It's a small file, so it won't take up much space.

Known conflicts:

Any mods that change the scripts for bows. (i.e. auto aim fixes) One way to have both is to make sure that they both function is to adjust the load order, I don't use auto aim mods, but I've had feed back telling me it's not always in conflict, so be sure to move the load order around!

(Possible Conflicts:) Any other mod that does the same thing. Specifically, the non-DLC version of this mod. It might not be a problem, but uninstall the old one, just to be safe.

Let me know if you guys find any other conflicts.

FAQ:

Q: Do all bows fire exactly the same way?
A: No. All the arcs are the same as in vanilla. So the better the bow, the less arc there is. i.e. A daedric bow shoots straiter than a hunting bow.

Q: Are my arrows going to fly in a strait line?
A: I did NOT adjust the arc of the arrow. You still need some skill as an archer.

Not sure what happened to my original comments, but, I've never used Console commands, and what was happening with those Giants is that I was up the side of a Mountain. the Giants were little pinpricks spots down at the bottom. I shot at them, they Aggro'd. Afterward, I found many of the Arrows I had shot at them on the Ground. They had Appearently passed straight through the Giants, never Registering a "Hit". I still have the same problem to this day with the mod. Does'nt matter what I do to fix it. Even disabling all other Mods, and running earlier versions of Skyrim.

@ dude_idc: effective range of an arrow (or any projectile) in real life is determined by its speed, angle with respect to the terrain, gravity, wind drag, and drift. For in-game purposes, only the gravity, angle and speed are relevant. The gravity is a defined game engine setting, the angle is determined by the player and thus the last variable, speed, is determined by the type of bow used by the player (bows that exert a greater force upon the arrow i.e. higher level bows, will seemingly produce a flatter arrow trajectory). Since the arrows still must follow a parabolic trajectory, what this mod does is remove the cap that causes arrows to magically disappear even when they are meant to be flying still. This mod doesn't alter the values to extend the trajectory, because it doesn't alter the actual performance values of any bow; it merely removes the artificial cap so that arrows are able to attain their true and intended range instead of being deleted by the game while in mid-air.

This saves me going into my game files and adjusting the arrow distance. I mainly hunt in skyrim so this is very useful. If you can't hit a fox in the middle of a golden orange field from the max vanilla distance you shouldn't use this mod.

i was going to say what evian said 2000 meters is like 6-7k feet..is that realistic? is there a way to edit the distance in which an arrow can hit someone and the speed of an arrow? ill just go online and look up the actual distance and speed an arrow in real life would go and apply it to the game i just dont know how to get into that part of the games files n all that

I'm pretty sure this mod is not working for me. I've been using it for a few days and there seems to be no difference from the vanilla version of the game. I've always played an archer of some sort, and I've been playing since the game came out. I still have to get as close as I used to in in order to shoot an enemy. Does anyone else have this problem?
