- Depends a lot on the User technique to ATK and DEF
Second, to a effective Penetration of Plates or Chains you should consider the type of weapon, a Spike and Blade don't be the same, for example Spears needs Weight and Acceleration to penetrate by a fine spike, a Sharp Edge is a secundary Factor, but a broad blade needs cut so Kogarasu (Double edged Katana) would be more effective dealing damage throught Armored enemies cause the Double Edge produces more Stress on armor by stab.
- Curve Blades don't contribute (Stab)(exist some design exceptions)
- One Sharp Edge don't contribute (Stab)
- Light Weight don't contribute (Stab and Hit)
That's not true at all, the Katana realistically speaking isn't that great at fighting plate armor or going through armor.
Real Life they were intended more to fight non-armored opponents or lightly armored ones. Against plated armor irl the Katana isn't good at all. Would have to attack via the in-betweens of the plated armor. You'd have a better time hurting the person wearing plated armor with a spear or a blunt weapon.
