HARP Base Pack - SS Variant

Welcome to HARP , the Historical Accuracy Retexture Project!

This DOES NOT retexture the uniforms of the German units. Download your own SS mods such as this one, or check out my 17th SS mod and see what you think.

This version of the HARP Base Pack retextures the rank patches and headgear to resemble that employed by Waffen-SS personnel during the war, and contains all other features of the default HARP Base Pack. Coincides well with the various mods which retexture units into SS divisions. This is not compatible with the normal HARP Base Pack, choose one or the other. I recommend the Heer pack as most of the German forces in Day of Infamy represent Heer forces. HARP Luftwaffe pack when?

HARP is a project I'm working on to create historically accurate units in Day of Infamy, starting with the German units and gradually working towards the Allied Powers. The Base Pack will be a requirement for future releases (Although all packs will work without it).

This pack includes several small features, namely for the equipment, headgear, and insignia. Currently all normal insignia other than rank patches have been removed (No more Heer eagle on your SS skins) to allow for better fit when it comes to units. This only applies to German insignia, this will not remove Allied patches.
Included:

• Rank Patches are now backed on black wool with shiny, early tresse - black wool fits for SS units.
  
• Litzen, reichsadlers, and the totenkopf have been removed from the uniforms and schirmmütze
  
• Fallschirmjäger helmet boasts a Luftwaffe decal
  
• German helmets have decals and some have names (Desert helmet is Heer, standard and winter have the SS runes, they are not double decal because that didn't last long. No, I will not be making double decal SS helmets.
  
• Schirmmütze now has appropriate SS coloring (Brownish gray and black) and features metal totenkopf and eagle.
  
• M43 Einheitsfeldmütze features a BeVo totenkopf and eagle
  
• M40 Feldmütze with BeVo totenkopf and eagle
  
• Pocket pleats removed for the bump map (Still retained via texture, but allows for more flexibility)
  
• Waffenampt stamps on some items, hard to see, but they are present
  
• Pebbled leather for leather equipment

Bonus Content
If you want to dig into the files of this addon, I've included two additional files for the headwear. The headwear included in these packs consists of:

• SS visor with a light gray top and bullion insignia
  
• SS-VT side caps in both gray and black with the VT eagle and metal totenkopf button
  
• M43 Einheitsfeldmütze with a trapezoid insignia patch
  
• M43 Einheitsfeldmütze with a single glass button and stacked embroidered insignia

That first image you see, the guy with no litzen, currently he's the work-in-progress 352. Infanterie, which are the bare-bones Heer. They aren't anything special, however, they feature the M43 feldbluse.

This addon is not intended for any political affiliation and simply exists for the necessity of historical authenticity. The addon includes swastikas and SS runes, the swastikas are small enough to not easily be seen. If you have an issue regarding legality for your country - contact me and I can make a censored version for you.
