Description
Notes about mod:
It fully sets up with basic or advanced with attack cards. There is also auto draw/discard upon clicking end turn, requires turns on. When you click end turn any cards left in your hand or cards left infront of you on the typewriter mat will be cleaned up into your discard and 5 new cards will be drawn.

Description:
You are a paperback author trying to finish novels for your editor. Complete Westerns, Science Fiction, Romance or even the rare Best-Seller. Live the dream — and maybe pay the bills.

Word-building meets deck-building in the unique game Paperback. Players start with a deck of letter cards and wild cards. Each hand they form words, and purchase more powerful letters based on how well their word scored. Most letters have abilities that activate when they are used in a word, such as drawing more cards or double letter score. Players buy wilds to gain victory points. Variant included for cooperative play.

I was also very frustrated by all the errors and problems.

As the author of this mod seems to have abandoned it, I created a fork that fixes all the errors and problems, as well as adds some enhancements and modifications.

You can find my version here .

@Red Inferno, thank you for the lovely mod. As was mentioned by the poster before me, I also was getting script errors throughout my play of the game today. Is there something I need to do as a user/player to correct this?

Hmm played a full game last night and we were constantly getting script errors. Also at the end of my turns, the script retrieved my cards and gave me a new hand, but it didn't do that for the other players.

Hi, clicking either the Basic or Advanced setup gives a script error.
Also, should the Basic setup randomise the cards, or is the fixed order that makes it the basic version? Also when I take one of the common cards, no sliding down happens?

Hi, wanted you know that your mod has been added to my collection: Board Game Geek - BGG - May 2020 - Best Mod for each of the Top 500 Rated Games. Collection here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2086043930

The collection used this priority system:

1. Mod's Files Availability: Mod with all/most files still available for download
2. Feature completeness: Mod with greatest inclusion of expansions and/or promos available for the board game title
2. Scripting: Mod with scripting that most reduces work in setup/play for players
3. Component Quality: Mod with the best visuals/usability in terms of component quality
4. Table Setup/Ambiance: Mod with the best immersion with table, background, and other modeling.

Please also note that a mod that makes selection for this list very well could be one in which the mod author borrowed the majority of assets from another workshop listing, so full thanks to all who worked on a mod.

Thanks for your hard work!

oh of course, we can just ignore the extra players :)

@FunksMaName The decks are dealing to 5 players but it's set to the correct amount of cards. I have been trying to think of a better way to do it but the idea I had just introduced a different issue rather than fixing it.

hmm, seems to always set up for 5 players regardless of how many are sat down... am i being dumb?
