Description
New military-focused building choices for Encampment, Harbor, and Aerodrome. Adds a total of 5 new buildings and reworks the existing buildings in the Encampment and Aerodrome as well as the military-related bonuses of the Shipyard and Seaport.

The new bonuses are a lot more interesting and should make Encampments a great district to build. All the buildings provide bonuses only to certain unit types, so you will have to build several Encampments in order to have all "perfect" combinations for each unit type.

Build a Military Industrial Complex that will stand the test of time.

Features
  • 8 buildings reworked: Barracks, Stable, Armory, Military Academy, Shipyard, Seaport, Hangar, Airport - now called "Air Force Base" (see screenshots for description and changelog for updates).
  • 6 new buildings added: Target Range, Casemates, Supply Depot, Ordnance Board, Prison, Naval Base (see screenshots for description).
  • Encampment unlock moved from Bronze Working to Military Tradition.
  • With the new buildings, each unit type can receive up to two experience bonuses, a free promotion, and one production bonus.
  • Buildings have unique effects, ranging from extra production on certain resources to extra charges for Military Engineers.
  • Aerodromes and their military buildings now provide Great General points, too.
  • Seaports are no longer military facilities. The Naval Base can now be built instead for powerful naval bonuses, while the Seaport's gold yield got buffed as compensation. Seaports will now give Great Merchant points, while the Naval Base will offer Great Admiral points.
  • All military buildings now raise the strategic resource stockpile cap; no longer just Encampment buildings but also Hangars, Airports, Shipyards, and Naval Bases.
  • The following policies were tweaked to get bonuses from the new and some reworked buildings: Third Alternative, Military Research, Integrated Space Cell. Double the Encampment adjacency with Limes policy, and Third Alternative later on.
  • Supports unique buildings and districts added with DLCs.

Compatibility and Recommendations

Requires Gathering Storm. Other DLC supported but not required.

This mod is compatible with JFD's Rule with Faith, P0kiehl's Civilizations Expanded, and CIVITAS' City States Expanded (CSE). The new buildings will receive the respective bonuses.

Made compatible with Warfare Expanded (XP bonuses to new unit promotion classes), as well.

I recommend using this mod together with my other military-themed mods:

oh very nice. Glad you considered it. I suggest adding that to the mod description

In that case, this mod adds some fitting bonuses to the Arsenal district but won't add the Naval Base building to the Harbor.

how does this work with the 'More Maritime' mod which moves all naval buildings etc. to the armory?

Americans should get a unique prison that provides a small production bonus to all cities with in 4 tiles, and/or lets the city build one more district than the pop limit

Regarding the hangar with the commerce mod installed. Does the hangar no longer get the 50% production bonus? or does it just not show on the tooltip?

I use most of JNR mods, and have no such issues.

I'm having a problem when i enalble your District Expansion mod serie. The map becomes completely blue and the only things i can see are resources, troops and the cities models.

I'll check where the description got messed up, the Depot no longer grants free promotions to cav units. All free promotions are now granted by the Military Academy.

Hi! Thank you for your wonderful Mods, but there is something wrong with the building supply depot, that "cavalry trained in this city have one free promotion" doesn't work, even though I deleted all other Mods only keeping your urban complexity series. Maybe other buildings have similar wrong but I find supply depot out only cause I prefer cavalry:steamhappy:. Actually I have played games with this Mod working absolutely right for months until yesterday, really enjoying this Mod.
