Notice:
WEC - Encounters Reborn, the official successor to WEC - PvE Encounters and WEC - Planetary Expansion, is out! Some elements present in Planetary Expansion will be progressively added into Encounters Reborn during its development process - this means Planetary Expansion is now obsolete.

A custom PvE/Encounters mod, focused on adding an immersive "friendly" faction!
The faction and the ships/stations involved in this mod are based on a shared lore between Me and Crdguy.
The mod is currently very early in development and therefor pretty barebones right now. This will change with upcoming updates...

Mod Infos:

This mod will add 1 new NPC Faction to your game: The Frontier Exploration Union (FEXU). They are friendly, and mainly consist of small colonies and exploration fleets scattered around the system.
If you attack/raid them, you will lose reputation* with them, and they might send attack forces after you. Beware, their drones are not easy to kill, even with turrets.

I recommend using this mod alongside other PvE mods like "Corruption - PvE Combat" and "Reavers", found in the Modular Encounters Collection.
My other NPC Mod, WEC PvE Encounters, is an optional dependency that goes hand-in-hand with Planetary Expansion.

* An important note regarding the reputation system:
The concept is still very work-in-progress, and there is currently NO way of increasing reputation with the FEXU until I can figure out Keen's system or a method gets added to the MES Framework.

Installation Notes:

If you're adding this mod to your save, be sure to have the 2 required dependencies loaded. The load order doesn't matter.

You also need to have these advanced world settings enabled for this mod to function as intended:
- Enable Ingame-Scripts -> ON
- Enable Drones -> ON

@BinaryKiller Recoded - It's mainly obsolete because it used the no-longer-supported NPC Programming Extender mod. It's been obsolete for... what, almost 2 years now?

My original intent was to update this with RivalAI (replacement for Programming Extender), but I ended up deciding against it and worked on Encounters Reborn instead. This might still happen, but given that i can't find the time/motivation to play SE, I can't tell you when.

@Javert - Perfectly aware, been working on a new mod ever since I got invited to the alpha tester team. It'll still take some time for me to get it to a playable state, but It wont take long now.

Im not seeing any of the faction from this mod how can i test if its working and in the spawn pool?

@achronicdeth - Because this is a mod, you'll likely never see it on a Keen Official Server - they are strictly vanilla. This mod also relies on the Modular Encounter Spawner mod to spawn the encounters into the game world, since many of these encounters cannot spawn the way they do using the vanilla spawning mechanisms currently in place.

There may be Non-Keen servers out there that are running this mod however, and you should be able to find them using the advanced search in the Join Game menu.
