Kath's Detailed Diplomacy (2.8)

Description
KATH'S DETAILED DIPLOMACY

This mod is outdated and will not work on current versions of Stellaris.
No current plans to update it, but perhaps someday in the future.

### OVERVIEW ###
A mod that changes the way AI weighs galactic resolutions, making the AI more rational and more aligned with their ethics and civics when voting on resolutions in the galactic community. With this mod, the AI will be more likely to vote on what their empire actually values.

## NEW ADDITION ##
A new set of resolutions, based on galactic education and producing better leaders... with a dark twist. The Galactic Education resolutions allow you to pass galactic education standards... or, if you so wish, perform darker genetic experiments to produce better leaders... at a cost.

This mod is currently in Beta stage, Version 0.45. You are free to play it though, and the main features should work. If you encounter any bugs, please report in comments. More features upcoming.

### FAQ ###
- Is this mod compatible with mod X, Y, Z?
This mod should be compatible with any mod that doesn't make overwrite the default galactic resolutions.

- Will the changes to AI weight really change that much in gameplay?
Yes and no. It will make the AI vote more according to their civics and ethics, making resolutions more interesting and more split down the middle most of the time, with some AI voting no and some voting yes. If you're doing a game where you focus on the galactic community a bunch, this can make it more interesting. If you're just a fanatical purifier, this won't really affect you at all.

- Can I add this mod mid-game?
Yes, this is fully savegame compatible.

- Do I need a certain DLC for this mod?
As this mod primarily deals with the galactic community, some of its content is locked behind the Federations DLC. You can still access parts of it with no DLCs though.

- Upcoming features?
Yup. I plan to add on to this mod quite a bunch, focusing firstly on the galactic community, such as changing how the AI weighs voting and possibly adding some of my own custom resolutions. After that, I plan on expanding on more aspects of diplomacy.

- Help! I have a question not on this list.
Ask in comments. I'll usually respond pretty quickly.

### PLANNED FEATURES ###
- Further changes to the way AI votes on resolutions, going into more depth with civics, current war situation, and federation allies.
- Custom resolutions to add more features to the galactic community.
- Changes to the way AI makes decisions on federations and war, including making vassals more common and more interesting.
- Possible changes to civics to loosen restrictions on a few and make for more interesting combinations.

also the game crashes when any unknown resolution gets passed.

So this mod doesn't work with the current build of the game. Once you reach the point for the galactic community the resolutions don't appear, and the only one you can pick from is the diplomacy one about removing claims over the years.

To my knowledge, mod *should* work fine in new versions, it'll just say that's it's meant for an old version. I may update it at some point, but at the moment stacked in loads of other work and Stellaris mods are at the back of my mind lol! At some point in the future I'll probably update it and hopefully finish off some other things :)

Well, I was thinking something like that, but I will try anyways. And I know that it would be a lot of work, but it could be great if you were able to make a compatibility parch, someday
kathith1234  [author] 17 Nov, 2020 @ 5:43pm
@manuventur The two mods should be compatible, but the AI will not take the ethics and civics from that mod into consideration for votes. It'll only use the vanilla ethics/civics.

Hi, I was about to play this mod, but I am using the ethics and civics classic too,do you think they will work together?
