also the game crashes when any unknown resolution gets passed.
clumsyraz 24 Nov, 2021 @ 1:20pm
So this mod doesn't work with the current build of the game. Once you reach the point for the galactic community the resolutions don't appear, and the only one you can pick from is the diplomacy one about removing claims over the years.

Good, then i will resubscribe it :-)
Thank you for your answer!

To my knowledge, mod *should* work fine in new versions, it'll just say that's it's meant for an old version. I may update it at some point, but at the moment stacked in loads of other work and Stellaris mods are at the back of my mind lol! At some point in the future I'll probably update it and hopefully finish off some other things :)
Tiasson 27 Apr, 2021 @ 12:56am
Has anyone tried this mod in 3.x?
Sjru 🐲 21 Apr, 2021 @ 5:42pm
Will this be updated?

Well, I was thinking something like that, but I will try anyways. And I know that it would be a lot of work, but it could be great if you were able to make a compatibility parch, someday
kathith1234  [author] 17 Nov, 2020 @ 5:43pm
@manuventur The two mods should be compatible, but the AI will not take the ethics and civics from that mod into consideration for votes. It'll only use the vanilla ethics/civics.
manuventur 17 Nov, 2020 @ 10:56am
Hi, I was about to play this mod, but I am using the ethics and civics classic too,do you think they will work together?
kathith1234  [author] 2 Nov, 2020 @ 10:39am
I will be adding a new option in the menu to change how the ai weighs crisis votes. You can have them be more proactive if you want, voting for the crisis focus more readily.

After this, probably going to work on some new resolutions to add.
kathith1234  [author] 29 Oct, 2020 @ 12:12pm
@JenkoRun currently with the mod, more ‘diplomatic’ empires, such as xenophiles and related civics, should vote to focus on the crisis more. Full list of how civics/ethics affect the crisis votes should be in the changelog, I think 0.45.

@nicebagdad I like the idea of a neutral zone, but not sure if I want to add it to this mod, especially since we have a diplomatic megastructure already. Might look into adding a Belgium-ish decision in another mod though, one with more fleshed out events for a diplomatically neutral nation.
nicebagdad 29 Oct, 2020 @ 1:40am
Maybe allowing us to build something like brussels is to the EU. A `neutral` zone for the galactic union and giving whoever has it in their empire a percentage boost to diplomatic weight and/or more envoys.
JenkoRun 28 Oct, 2020 @ 2:02pm
Feature request: Could you make it so when the crisis shows up the focus resolution has all empires support it? PDX made it so they always vote against it if they're not currently affected by it, and I personally hate it.

It'll probably be more important since the release of aggressive Crisis Engine too.
kathith1234  [author] 28 Oct, 2020 @ 1:26pm
@nicebagdad Definitely possible. I believe the galactic market focus just triggers some event chains to do the competition, wouldn't be too difficult to replicate something similar to that for other unique structures or special events. Hmm, a Galactic Olympics... now that's an interesting idea.
nicebagdad 28 Oct, 2020 @ 7:58am
just out of curiosity, would it be possible to add more Galactic focusses? like allowing you to make more unique structures based on a competition the same way that the galactic market works.
I have seen no other mods attempt this and I am wondering if there is a reason for this.
amirfoox 5 Aug, 2020 @ 9:30pm
@kathith1234 Thank you VERY much for the update, much appreciated :)
kathith1234  [author] 3 Aug, 2020 @ 2:18pm
Heyo, everyone. Latest update is out! Full update notes are in change notes (located under the thumbnail if you're on PC), but this update contains big changes to crisis focus votes and some other resolutions, as well as something I know a lot of people have been asking for - A way to make sure the game stays vanilla. As such, I've added a Detailed Diplomacy Menu, accessible through edicts, where you can disable the custom resolutions ;D

As always, feedback is appreciated! And if you like the mod, make sure to rate and favorite it. It helps a lot!
Ulthar 22 Jul, 2020 @ 6:14am
I feel like you should be able to force your vassals to accept your civics/values without first integrating them and releasing them. If you install a puppet and have a decision to do that.

kathith1234  [author] 21 Jul, 2020 @ 7:51pm
@keoriv I feel that. It sucks that they can basically add any modded content to the base game with no credit because of their ToS.
If Paradox ever *does* fix the Galactic Community though, I'll probably just work on some other diplomacy fixes. Vassals and rebellions still need a LOT of work.
keoriv 21 Jul, 2020 @ 6:13pm
@kathith1234 Your mod is popular because it has no dependencies, can be easily dropped into any game, and is essentially a bugfix.

The downside is Paradox is probably going to integrate it into the next patch without giving you any credit.
kathith1234  [author] 19 Jul, 2020 @ 3:40pm
@Ulthar Got it! I'll definitely make a second version with the next update then that only changes the AI weight! Thanks for the feedback!
Ulthar 19 Jul, 2020 @ 3:22pm
yes to the diplomacy AI basic.

I tend to be very conservative about trying out mods - because I don't know how balanced they are or how OP some things are - and I've had great games ruined when I did a strategy that turned out to give me an easy-win button.

not saying yours would do that - but it would just be great to feel more comfortable that the AI will vote its values, and that they may take issue with me voting mine.
kathith1234  [author] 18 Jul, 2020 @ 4:02pm
@amirfoox Thanks a lot! I honestly never expected it to become this popular, especially this quick! I'm essentially a newbie to the Stellaris modding community, but all this support has been really motivating!
amirfoox 18 Jul, 2020 @ 1:43pm
@kathith1234 Awesome, thanks kath! Keep up the good work! I'm sure your mod will become essential soon enough :)
kathith1234  [author] 18 Jul, 2020 @ 1:38pm
@amirfoox The crisis votes are coming in the next update, probs within the week. I plan to make more xenophile ethics and diplomatic civics vote more in favor of it, with xenophobes less likely to vote unless the crisis is actively threatening them. Some more wildcard civics will vote depending on how they view it, with people like Barbaric Despoilers liking the chaos to help them raid more ;)

@Sjru As far as I know, it should work fine. I've tested it briefly with Starnet and it looks like it's compatible. If you do notice any bugs though, let me know!
Sjru 🐲 18 Jul, 2020 @ 12:21pm
Does this work with Starnet?
amirfoox 18 Jul, 2020 @ 11:53am
Will the Galactic Community be more inclined to vote in favor of going against a crisis now, or less so?
kathith1234  [author] 18 Jul, 2020 @ 11:22am
Completely vanilla without added resolutions? I was thinking about doing something like that! I'll probably add a second mod that's ONLY the ai weight soon, something like Detailed Diplomacy - Basic, to keep everything base-game. I'll comment here when I upload it!
Ulthar 18 Jul, 2020 @ 9:06am
I would love to have a vanilla version of this that does nothing but ENSURE that based on traits (Slave guilds = they prioritize keeping slave trade legal) etc. That the AI will sponsor those bills if they can basedon a set agenda.

kathith1234  [author] 14 Jul, 2020 @ 9:46pm
Latest update is out - adding a new set of resolutions that based on galactic education. If you go down the resolutions, you find education isn't always the most humane of things. Are you all daring to go down the darker path of modifying students with genetic enhancements?

Next update I plan on going more into detail with AI weight some more. Despite the addition of new resolutions, I still want to focus on making the AI actually vote correctly for now. More resolutions to come though hopefully!
Knapp 14 Jul, 2020 @ 9:06am
Hey, a mod that makes the Galactic Community something actually interesting!
You paying attention Paradox? Gonna maybe complete any feature you include in your game?
kathith1234  [author] 12 Jul, 2020 @ 3:52pm
@StarGazer No problemo! I welcome any feedback! It all helps, especially with the mod in alpha.
StarGazer 12 Jul, 2020 @ 5:47am
Thank you creating for this mod. Testing this out with my empire.
