Nordkapp is a general purpose all-in-one dome base that would make a new world feel like home.

The Sweet Home Edition a remastered version of the old Nordkapp base with new building techniques and new features in KSP 1.10, complete with detailed interior design. Besides a laboratory, living quarters and airlocks, there are also a lounge, a fitness studio, a greenhouse and a mechanical room. The dome structure protects from hostile surface environments, cosmic radiation and meteorite threat.

Key Features
- Compact and detailed all-in-one dome base with accessible interior.
- Self-sufficient with ISRU and fuel cells only, as long as ore concentration >10% and there are engineers on site, thus not limited to polar regions.
- Rocket fuel capacity = 0.76 orange tank; 830 units of monopropellant, 1800 units of ore.

Action Groups

Design Notes
- Tip: if you want to build similar dome base with accessible interior: you have to terminate fairing building with Alt+LMB without closing it on anything, otherwise the fairing will become solid and you can't EVA inside it. Cover the opening later.
- Use "aim camera" functionality for easy viewpoint navigation inside the dome.
- The solar panel on the top is not necessary for power generation, you can replace it with whatever you want.
- Fill levels of ore tanks are carefully determined to shift CoM close to the center to ease flight. It's no longer important after landing.
- If you change or remove some decorative parts to reduce part count, keep CoM shift in mind.
- Action group [6] toggles ISRU and fuel cells. Observe the energy flow, manually adjust their operating status if necessary. After self-sufficiency is achieved, the equipment can be simply left running.
- The base is designed with a crew of 6 (2 x 3 professions) in mind, but it can hold much more Kerbals in-game.
- I am aware of how minecraft-ish those plants look, but before I come across a really satisfying solution, I’d rather keep them this way instead of a halfway-realistic style. Time for some imagination.

Known Issues
#1: Sometimes Kerbals can't climb out of the inner ladder (with F key). Solution: leave the ladder and try again. If it still doesn't work, which is unlikely, walk behind the sofa and near the external command chair on the doorstep, board it so that you can teleport outside.
- Other issues of the old Nordkapp base seem to have been solved in this version. Leave a comment if you encounter any!

Wish you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed building it!

Thank you! It also seems to me that it's a rather unusual way to play KSP:KScared: but I indeed hat a lot of fun messing around with this thing. Reminds me of Minecraft.

Doing interior design in a more realistic setting sounds really interesting, I would have a try :p

I can barely tell I have ever seen anything of comparable level of detailing furniture in KSP.
This adds a completely new level of excitement to the already well-modelled asset:enteringsteamvr:.

Now do the same with your Fachwerkhaus-collection XD
