Travel Ring

Description
This mod adds a ring that will let you teleport to several locations in Skyrim and Solstheim from ANYWHERE (make sure you will not be breaking a quest when you teleport), and record the last place you've teleported from.

This teleportation is instantaneous, unlike fast travel.

I have an updated version of this mod here Travel Ring Open Cities that is compatible with open city mods.
I will not be updating this version.

For those who do not have all of the vanilla DLC installed, use Teleport Ring instead.

For those who want the XB1 or SE version go here: Teleport Ring XB1[mods.bethesda.net] or Teleport Ring SE[mods.bethesda.net]

I made this for myself as I get annoyed when I can't fast travel from inside mines or dungeons, or if there are enemies nearby. I also didn't like the fact that fast travel took game time, as my mage should have some magical instant travel ability.

This has been done by people in other mods already; I just wanted to make my own version.

Obtaining:
The ring is located round the back of Breezehome in Whiterun inside a chest.

BUGS:
1: I have not done anything about followers. They just teleport to the local fast travel point, unless one doesn't exist.

2: Be careful not to teleport when a quest requires you to be trapped. This WILL cause a crash, especially if it is a scripted opening scene like the attack on Helgen.

3: Using the ring to travel to a place you haven't visited yet has been blocked. However, you still need to be careful not to travel to locations that have been blocked by a quest (i.e. when you attack Windhelm or Whiterun)

4: If you have been using the old Teleport Ring and you want to upgrade to this ring, follow the UNINSTALL steps shown below up to step 3 first.

REQUIREMENTS:
You must have Hearthfire, Dawnguard, and Dragonborn DLC installed.

Incompatible Mods:
Any open world or city mod that changes the location of a city or other game location.
I don't recommend using this ring with multi-ring mods as the "un-equip" part of the script can do strange things to other equipped rings.

UNINSTALL:
1: Make sure your game is saved inside a building.
2: Drop the ring out of your inventory.
3: Unsubscribe from the mod in the workshop.
4: Reload the save you just made and save your game again.

Once you press the subscribe button Steam will auto download the mod the next time you start Skyrim. Just wait at the loading screen and it should say stuff like "downloading mod". There should also be an option to select the mods you want to be loaded.

Oh, if that's where Dawnstar officially is, no issues about landing in the water. There's just a perpetually grumpy Nord who hates teleporting to dawnstar. And thank you. As well, glad to help. If there are bugs, they will find me.... or I find them... that part is always confusing :steamfacepalm:

I found a way to block teleportation while mounted or sitting, so I released an update that fixed this.

Thank you for letting me know about the mounted issues. I don't generally use horses in Skyrim, so I didn't know. I'll add that to the Notes section. As to the underwater, I'm referencing the main maps location icons, and in Dawnstar that one is underwater. I've thought about changing it, but my sense of humor makes me leave it in. Is it a problem for your usage?

Hey, love the ring, save for two things. In Dawnstar, why do we appear underwater? And not sure if this was mentioned before... you should NEVER use the ring mounted.. the results are... disturbing to say the least.

Thanks. You too.
