Description
The Sound Mirrors is probably my favorite ship ever. Built around a powerful gravity drive system with automated rocket salvo turrets and boasting a jump range of approximately 7,000 kilometers, Sound Mirrors is a descendant of the original Bermuda-class frigates (designated SCT for Special Combat Type), specifically the SCT-02 Southern Gothic. Being last in line of the 11 Bermudas ever produced by Coyote Orbital, it has all of the extensive upgrades made to prior ships of the class and many other (mostly aesthetic) tweaks.

Re: DLC and mods. This ship was made for internal Coyote Orbital use only, and it's only being released now because I don't play this game much anymore (college :/ ). So it uses (probably literally) every DLC. I don't think you need all of them necessarily; it might be painful, but only SotF is structurally necessary. Most of the ships I built over the last two months are more or less the same, because I just got bored of the vanilla detailing...sorry ; p (Actually i ended up removing dlc bc it was rlly easy lol)
You don't need the Defense Shields mod either, but shields are part of the original design so I put the mod here as a requirement. If you really hate shields, just ignore the Steam popup and it will be fine.

This ship was born and blueprinted in survival, so that should answer any questions about whether it's survival-ready...hint: it is. In addition (like all of my ships made for the SkunkWorks servers), cargo containers come preset with "Special" custom data for Isy's Inventory Manager; when docked to another vessel or station running Isy's, the SCT-A is resupplied automatically.

pls liek nad subscrioob if yuo liek. i luv 2 know wat u thimk of my shipes

Specifications:
(Learn more by uploading .sbc file to SEPraisal[spaceengineerspraisal.net])
-Mass: 3,887,218 kg with all the stuff I had in it (x3 inventory)
-PCU: 45,667
-Blocks: 2,923 main grid, 3,326 total
-Acceleration: 0-104 m/s in approx. 3.5 seconds forwards/backwards, all other directions approx. 6 seconds. Yeah. It's fast.
-Scripts: Gravity Drive Manager, Whip's Turret AI Slaving Script, Whip's Weapon Salvo Script, and last but not least, Fancy Flight Info by Blargmode. This script is optional; due to its constant, large updates (or something, I'm not a geek) it is not recommended for multiplayer servers. It does however look VERY cool. Sound Mirrors in particular will likely make any server have a bad time, due to the sheer number of displays it has, so take that into consideration.

7-Jump for jump drive F

Description:
Sound Mirrors boasts more gyroscopes (3 separate gyroscope upgrades were made to the Bermuda design over the course of its life, and these ships now turn like a dream), an upgraded gravity drive, slightly upgraded TR3 MOD2 turrets, an adjusted (less annoying to restock) number of point defense turrets, and cool new Wasteland update blocks. There's just...uh, a lot. I also messed with the lighting and FFI displays for probably a decade to get what I wanted. Like predecessor SCT-A 04 Dies Irae, it is named for a song by Swedish electronic band Covenant.

The styling incorporates influences from Taidyr's frigates, especially the ICM Raihani (KMI Siren-class refit) and some aspects of the later Ridill-class frigate. These more recent stylistic choices, as well as FFI shenanigans, were first tried out on the Dies Irae. I used a blueprint of that ship as a template to print Sound Mirrors, and made most of the aesthetic changes during its slow printing process.

My slides and cutaways were made with the Green Screen skybox and some editing in paint dot net; the awesome logo is courtesy of Paralix (ty soooo much!). Screenshots use Realistic Skybox and Apothilight, plus some FOV tweaking (nvidia ansel i loooove u)

We fought on Skunkworks, but I gotta give it to you, you make nice ships.

Lovely ship, very well made. You can really tell it was made to be used, not just look cool on the workshop.

@Mumps like all of my ships recently, this one is named for a song...the song's title is a reference to these [en.wikipedia.org].

...sound mirrors?

@popetouching yeah = (
Was probably inevitable, since this game is such a time and attention sink...also I've kind of exhausted any reasons for building new ships lol. I do still enjoy posting stuff though, and there are a few more newer ships (internal COY versions and other designs built for a different server) that I'll probably upload too. Glad you like this one : )

sad to hear you will be stepping off the SE/Skunkworks scene. loved these designs from the moment I saw them, looking forward to testing it out and picking it apart!
