Stronger Starting Origins [OUTDATED]

Description
Author's Note :
If you've somehow found this mod, after I decided to bring it back to public view. I'm sorry to say this mod probably doesn't work anymore since it was made for what, Stellaris 2.6 or something?

After years, I got a request about this old mod, and I just released it back to public view so that people if they were interested could probably have access to this legacy mod, and maybe update some of the origins for their own fun again

Sadly I doubt I will work on this mod again due to a busier schedule since making this mod. But if you're interested, knock yourself out at hauling this to Stellaris 3.0+

=================================================================================

Are you bored of vanilla Stellaris and vanilla origins? Are you craving something stronger to play with?

Then have I got something for you, may I present to you......Stronger Starting Origins!

Having Trouble with the AI and need a buff? No Problem!

Having Trouble with the AI being to weak and need it to be further buffed for some more challenge? No Problem!

Having Trouble with the AI border goring the galaxy with their peace deals? You've got a problem!

The Stronger Starting Origins adds 7 additional new origins that give you stronger starting positions that allow you to largely skip most if not all of the early game expansion.

Trade Federation Origin :
-Start with 2 additional colonies under your control as well as immediate control over your neighboring star systems as well as receive minor modifiers that boost your trade income.

Martial Empire Origin
-Start with 2 additional colonies under your control, immediate control over your neighboring star systems, Destroyer Tech and Centralized Command Unlocked and a few minor planetary buffs

Exodus Survivors Origin**
-Start on a tomb world with 2 additional tomb worlds in your star system, immediate control over your neighboring star systems and a minor buff to your starting planets.

**Event Chain may be planned to be added on

Embattled Slave Empire Origin :
-Start with two minor rebel nations next to you with random species that were your former slaves that rebelled against you with minor planetary bonuses.

Ignorant Bliss Origin :
-Start on a Gaia world with 2 other Gaia world in your starting system, along with a fallen empire research structure as well as decent planetary buffs

Ancient Machines Origin :
-Start on a Machine world with 3 other machine worlds in your starting system along with major planetary buffs to each of your starting system's machine worlds.

United Federation Origin :
-Start with a pre-built empire that has a large amount of colonies and pops and a Federation alliance with 3 other AI empires. However, this comes at the cost of your ability to expand and you face some major debuffs.

Empire in Turmoil :
-Start with a pre-built empire with a sizable population start and multiple colonies, but all your colonies suffer major stability penalties that could push them to the brink of revolt!

Ancient Shipyards :
-Start with 5 Void Habitats and a Ruined Megashipyard in your starting system.

NOTE! This origin may require Utopia DLC to work properly.

Feudal Empire :
-Start with 2 vassal states as your neighbours and an extra colony

Rebel Alliance :
-Start with a few extra worlds but spawn next to a major AI empire that is both hostile and more powerful compared to you.

Decaying Empire :
-Start with a few extra worlds, some fallen empire buildings and a powerful starting fleet, but suffer major penalties to expansion attempts that you will need to get rid of.

WARNING, REWORKS NEEDED.

Under the Shadow of the Shroud :
-Start with specialized custom tomb worlds in a black hole starting system and start with all your pops unlocking the psionic trait.

That's All Folks!
-While you can always leave any fancy suggestions you can think of, I do think that this mod has reached my maximum expectations and short of fixing broken bugs, I don't think I'll be returning to add anything much more any time soon. Thanks to all who submitted suggestions in the comments section!

Change Log:
-Ancient Machines Origin now has a small event chain that severely penalizes you at the start but greatly buffs you near the end game.

While most of the new origins still do provide a stronger head start at the beginning of the game, I have now installed penalties to try and curb far too easy snowballing. They are now more focused on giving a slight RP element to player's game experiences, though their primary purpose still more or less remains.

But Regardless thank you all for trying out my mod. Cheers!

Feel free to report any issues that you may be facing with the mod or drop any suggestions. However please note that due to the way of how the planetary targeting system to setup your extra colonies at the start, there may be issues if too many of the same empire origins spawn too close to each other!

Be careful when spawning too may prescripted empires using the same origin in small galaxies!

iT WAS MEEEEEEEEEE.

ALSO, I JUST MADE A BREAKTHROUGH IN UNDERSTANDING HOW THE HECK ZONES WORK CODE WISE, SO I SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET ANCIENT MACHINES WORKING AGAIN.

TESTING A FEW THINGS, BUT THEN I WILL PUBLISH AN UPDATE, PRAISE THE OMNISSIAH.

Hopefully this mod gets updated at some point.
If not, it was a great moment in time, lots of fun while it was at its peak.
Thank you for your work.

@kevin032grzyb and @pearl thank you for posting about that autosave freezing, its something I've also just spent some hours trying to narrow down until I'd read your posts!
perl 4 May, 2022 @ 1:59pm
yep, this mod makes auto save freeze the game unfortunately
Grzyb 3 May, 2022 @ 5:40am
I just spent 2.5h figuring out that this mod makes it so the autosave takes forever. Definitely doesn't work on 3.3

You can just copy english localisation file and change name to polish, frencg, German etc... and same change in first line of code in every file. I have done that for me and now works. Bdw... if You need translations i can make polish localisation file.
