Description
This mod pretends to give a more proper and historical look to north african factions units. It changes the skin of various units to achieve it.

It also tries to increase these factions' roster, to make them a more challenging enemy or a more interesting choice to play.

This mod should be compatible with any vanilla (Desert Kingdom) and "Playable factions mod" savegame.

Features:

-Correct military groups for all desert factions in August Campaign (In vanilla, they shared all african [garamantian] roster, from numidia to arabia, now they have the proper one).

-Garamantian and Nasamones' Large shield warriors now have the proper look of the typical garamantian warrior.
-Levies spearmen look changed to a more tribesmen-like appearance (painted shields).
-Numidian Spearmen has been given a more "soldier look", by giving simple helmets to some of their men (conical and pylos).
-Added more helmet variety to Numidian nobles (crested pylos and thracian) aswell shields.
-Skin modified for the numidian cavalry and javelinmen based on Don_Diego's numidian cavalry skin, including unsaddled horses. I have also enabled an unused numidian tunic, and they use custom hide shields.
-Beared arabians.


-Enabled elephants and war elephants for numidians, garamantian and aethopian factions. Buildable in the exotic animals stable.
-Enabled Nubian spearmen and bowmen for aethiopians factions.

-New unit: Numidian Legionaries. Armed with kopis, javelin and numidian thureos/simple scutum and with linothorax/mail and pylos/numidian helmet. Stats balanced to last vanilla patch and similars to other "imitation" legionaries. (Numidian factions)
-New unit: Arab Noble Cavalry: medium-heavy cavalry useful both in charge and melee. Stats balanced to last vanilla patch. (Arabian factions)
-New unit: Red Sea Hoplites: Greek inmigrants from Aegyptos equipped in a similar fashion to the Ekdromoi (Light Hoplites). A flexible balance between defence and mobility. Stats balanced to last vanilla patch and equal to the "Light Hoplites". Local recruitment in Arabia. (Ptolemy)
-New unit: Greco-arabian Peltasts: Greek inmigrants from Aegyptos equipped in a similar fashion to the Peltast, with quilted armour and thureos. Stats balanced to last vanilla patch and similar to the "Peltast". Local recruitment in Arabia. (Ptolemy)

i dont seem to see the units for any of the desert kingdoms, does this work for custom battles?

Would this work with DEI? Also if it does work, these units in this mod, it wouldn't be super OP against the lower stats of DEI units would it?

If you come from a vanilla savegame it is compatible, but like any mod that adds units, if you uninstall the mod you cannot reload the savegame if any of the units has been built.
