Description
Should work without any DLC addon or theme.
Listed assets and mods are for visual effects on streets and the vegetation. Pick what you need and like.
Screenshots are taken with all listed mods/assets only, satallite LUT and disabled clouds/fog.

If you want to play vanilla, try the vanilla edition: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2596620823

My goal was an easy to use fantasy map with different types of areas (mixed forest, farm land, mountain areas, coast) and a little bit of realism. There is room to increase the realism part of the map with additional addons but i want to keep it low at the start and let the player decide what direction they want to go.

Building areas are "mostly" flat and within the default tiles. If you need more building space, the coastline and the mountain area is designed to provide additional space with a little bit of terraforming if you need them. Mountains are placed between major hight changes to make terraforming easy for beginners. If you flat them out (top or bottom) you still get a rocky cliff and more building area.

The existing dam provide ~1400MW of electricity. If you wonder about the second wall, it is a full working spillway if you mess around with the water level, dam placement or natural desasters.

Highway roads on the inner circle can be upgraded to 4 lanes if you use mass transit DLC (some type of road anarchy required on some parts)

The intersection at start square is designed to distribute external traffic only. To access the highway network from the start square/area i added two separate acces points to keep the traffic on this intersection as low as possible since it is the only external highway connection.
The intersecion at the bridge with acces to the second island follow the same concept.

Waterflow might look a bit low in the start area. I want to keep them as little streams. The lakes around have additional water sources to use for fresh and dirty water untill you reach the ocean or the water reservoir in the mountains.
The map have a detached railway network for internal traffic with some options to connect them to the external network if you want to.

~250k trees and bushes placed. If trees around rocks are missing, enable tree/prop anarchy on map load.
Most of them are trees, with some small detailed spots to keep the over all asset and tree count "low" for the start.

External Connections:
Road: 1
Train: 2
Ship: 4
Plane: 4

Map Themes:

If you use the listed maptheme and have additional addons for light and sun settings you might get a different result on the mountain textures. Most details on the mountains are from the normal map which depends on the sun position. For the map theme i pick a position which give an average to good result from all angels with disabled day/night cycle (~12:00). Change sun position if you need more details on a specific side.

Other map themes i have tested on the Map (can be used out of the box):
- default vanilla themes
- Laviante 2.0
- Laviante 2.1
- SCT Naturereserve
- Touluse Mission

I use a lot of the sand texture to generate the runied texture for the forest floor and add details to the mountains (if you paint sand texture at ~50% alpha you get ruined texture). You might need to remove the sand if you are using other themes depending on the texture blending and your personal preference.

Note: If you find the pillar art island and think wtf, it was the only way to force the engine to not replace the pillars on the original location where i dont want them :) (strange behavior between editor and buyed tile if the engine reposition objects. If you move them without changing the hight, the engine wont touch them. Looks like a bug to me, but i want to keep this little one :D)

Thanks for your review @BonBonB and your ongoing work with your "What Map" series.
Interresting to see it with different colors.

Edit: Fix some dependencies (sync collection and asset list) along with some fixes to the map mentioned in the review and the comments.

Hey Azar, thx for the detailed feedback. You can add beaches with the sand texture as you which. It is a normal texture.

I also wanted to add the the detail on your roads is 1st rate. The rail under the highway and intersection bridge is impeccable and the use of roundabouts to merge from two 1-way roads to a single 2-way road is inspired.

I've only just started playing this map today, it is surprisingly scenic, and I will confess I had overlooked it for a bit because of the simple name, and was very pleasantly surprised when I loaded it up today.

I also appreciate and love that you have added an internal/domestic railway line. I always end up building one myself, and having to majorly edit the external one, I think this is one of the best starter rail setups I have seen myself.

I am also looking forward to building on the shores of the reservoir. I really like the detail of the secondary wall/spillway (the non hydro one) I would have loved to seen a little beach on the reservoir but I understand you have used the sand texture in other ways so can't have everything!

Thank you for an excellent map.
