You and 5 friends can get together to fight 2 incredibly powerful Custom Bots! Expect complex strategies and insanely large battles as it takes teamwork and innovation to beat the Computer players! Make sure that the bottom 2 slots are filled by Computer players when hosting this map and that the population is set to 200. This mod contains 4 maps with to play the AI on: Black Forest, Team Islands, Highland, and Gold Rush. There are separate versions of the maps for the regular HD Edition and The Forgotten. My Custom AI makes great practice and even offers advice to his opponents. I designed the AI to play in a 6v2 situation so that I could have the maximum number of humans playing one match at a time, while still giving my AI the opportunity for powerful team play and coordination through having an ally. Without any sort of advantage, the humans would most certainly win every time so my AI does have limited cheating for resources depending on the difficulty, time and the flow of the game, as well as additional population depending on the time, difficulty, and the flow of the game. Players of all skill levels can definitely enjoy and learn from playing against this AI. Note that you can even play this map solo, just give yourself 5 Computer teammates. Send me any questions or feedback through private messages on Facebook or YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/user/Resonance22Channel

Note: If you are having trouble beating the AI, I recommend trying to advance to the Castle Age quickly and then beginning to build an army once you are in the Castle Age! Do not delay building an army for too long or the AI will quickly overrun you. Building an early Castle also helps quite a bit with defending. While building your army, do not forget to keep producing villagers. ;) If you try to boom and go straight to the Imperial Age without an army you'll probably have a very tough match on your hands.

Click Subscribe to download 8 Custom AI maps made by Resonance22. These maps are all 6v2 maps, in which 6 humans face off against 2 of my very intelligent Custom AIs. There are 8 maps in total, 4 for the vanilla HD Edition (HD) and "The Forgotten (FE)" DLC. When hosting this multiplayer Scenario, select the version based on whether or not you have the DLC. My AI plays all civilizations and has many intrinicate strategies. It needs the population to be set to 200 and the starting age to be Dark Age/Standard. I recommend that the Resources be set to Standard as well. Make sure that the bottom 2 slots are filled by Computer players or the map will fail. Any slots not filled by humans can be filled by Computers too, which will also be my Custom teammate Bots. The new Teammate Bots will tribute you if you ask them and help you in battle. Pick any Difficulty setting to meet your needs. Below you can find detailed descriptions of the difficulties so that you can pick the right one for your group of players!

Difficulty Descriptions:
============================
Easiest: This difficulty is best for a lobby filled with mostly beginner players or players rated less than 1500. The AI advances very slowly (Feudal around 13-16 mins, Castle around 23-27 mins, Imp around 40-50 mins), recieves very little free tribute, attacks with smaller forces, builds smaller bases, and is limited to only the first level of Blacksmith technologies. It will not rush players and is limited to primarily attacking players in the late Castle Age.
Standard:This difficulty is best for a lobby filled with mostly inexperienced players or players rated 1500-1650. The AI advances slowly (Feudal around 12-15 mins, Castle around 21-25 mins, Imp around 35-45 mins), recieves a small amount of free tribute, attacks with decent sized armies, builds smaller bases, and is limited to only the second level of Blacksmith technologies. It will not rush players and is limited to primarily attacking players in the late Castle Age. I recommend that most players start with Standard first, and then increase or decrease the difficulty level after depending on how that match went.
Moderate:This difficulty is best for a lobby filled with mostly average players or players rated 1550-1750. The AI advances at a reasonable pace (Feudal around 11-14 mins, Castle around 19-24 mins, Imp around 35-45 mins), recieves some free tribute, attacks with larger sized armies, builds a larger base, and is limited to only the second level of Blacksmith technologies until 60 minutes. It may rush players and do strategies such as Miltia Rushing, Scout Rushing, Tower Rushing, early transport ships, and aggressive forward buildings.
Hard:This difficulty is best for a lobby filled with mostly experienced players or players rated 1650-1850. The AI advances at a quick pace (Feudal around 10-12 mins, Castle around 17-22 mins, Imp around 33-40 mins), recieves significant free tribute, attacks with larger sized armies, builds a larger base, and is allowed to research all available technologies to its civilization. It is likely to rush players and do strategies such as Miltia Rushing, Scout Rushing, Tower Rushing, early transport ships, and aggressive forward buildings.
Hardest:This difficulty is best for a lobby filled with mostly veteran players or players rated 1750-2000. The AI advances at a quick pace (Feudal around 10-11 mins, Castle around 16-20 mins, Imp around 30-35 mins), recieves significant free tribute, attacks with larger sized armies, builds a larger base, and is allowed to research all available technologies to its civilization. It is likely to rush players and do strategies such as Miltia Rushing, Scout Rushing, Tower Rushing, early transport ships, and aggressive forward buildings. Beating the Hardest AI is extremely difficult but definitely possible with some solid teamwork. I have a handful of YouTube videos on my page that show my viewers and I defeating it. :) If you and your friends are looking for an insane challenge you will find it here!

I mean I can select Logbot, Bruteforce and Defensive AI from the dropdown in the multiplayer menu, but I can't select Resonance AI there.

Hi Resonance.
Interestingly, since 18 june the standard AI has been improved.
On hardest, Computer AI can beat Logbot Custom AI and Bruteforce Custom AI.
What I want is to add just 1 Resonance Custom AI in the game without having to 6vs2.
I don't want it to replace the new standard Computer AI.
Is this possible?

any chance of this AI being released as a custom AI useable on all maps with the exception of water maps?
with the 3.6 patch I'm hoping for a lot more custom AI's

If I try to play 3v1 instead of 6v2, the AI player gets placed right next to one of our humans. I know it's not "officially supported," but is there any way to get the AI town center located in the typical AI position in a 3v1 situation?
In other words, the AI player takes p4 (human)'s spot on the map. Makes it very difficult to play xD

Hi, Resonance
Oh, no. The AI's I listed were create for more than just 1v1. They can be used to battle several opponents at once easily. And they can be used for almost any scenario. I have found a couple more non-cheating AI's on the AOHK site that are working now for AOE HD. Just have to trial and error! gl hf.

Having a blast playing this with friends! Good work Resonance22. If people are unsure of how to play it, you need to start/create a game, and select "Scenario..." and pick it from there.

Thanks again and looking forward to the next patch ^^

-Broken and delayed taunt responses will be fixed.
-Bug fixes.
-AI will play better on maps with both land and water, like Highlands.
-Better military management.
-More Town Center HP.
-AI will run out of resources quicker in long matches.

@SerJaimeLannister
That is intended yes, however it has come to my attention that it is certainly too easy to just raid their TC and win so that will be changed in the next version.

@Fahgeengsheet
My AI cheats on all difficulties, albeit very little, because it is designed to fight in an unfair team situation. It is designed to play in a 2v6, so it would need to cheat in order to stand a fair chance. The AIs you've listed were designed for a completely different purpose than mine was. They were made to 1v1 effectively, and my AI was never intended to play anything other than against several opponents at once. That's the entire point of this, to get a bunch of friends and work together to beat some bots.

@Kyuzo
Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciated it. That is a realy weird bug, but I'm glad you brought it to my attention. It never really popped up during testing so that must be a new one. I will look into it and that will most certainly be fixed in the next version which I am already working on.

@Lugia
Yes that's me.
