Q : WHAT THIS MOD DOES?
A: It permits recruiting of ALL units (not navies and siege machines) from level 1 barracks for you AND the AI..
Q: WHY?
A: Because 1) it is historical.The time the game begins almost all units were present(Spartans did not have Spartan hoplites?Seleucids elephants?Romans dogs?Suebi berserkers and longbowmen?Parthians cataphracts?).It is kind gamish to unlock units from ceratain barracks and all civilaztion to start from zero point..
2) Now the AI will recruit its best troops to come to get you.You will fight cataphracts and elephants from turn 1..
3)Also till now the Ai recruited an army and when better troops become available did not have the "smarts" to disband levies and recruit better units.This has been changed.
4)In my varius (over than 500+ hours) campaigns every time past turn 70 the game is too easy..Now it is a continius to be a challenge..
Q:SO..BARRACKS ARE USELESS?
A: No The are VERY important.But now they give bonuses to attack,defence,moral,cavalry charge etc due to better training.Also for every civilazation they have unique charcteristics.E.G Greeks benefit greatly in defence and from low level barracks but they lack in attack bonuses.Romans are balanced in all aspects and they start early on with attack bonuses for increased troop effectiveness,Parthians have the greatest cavalry bonuses and Steppe get even 50% increase in horse archers lethality from stables and so on..Every next level gives more bonuses and in other relevant areas too. So that way a hoplite for example recruited from a level 3 barrack is much more deadly than one from level 1

I STRONGLY RECOMMENT THOSE MODS...
1)Meaningful unique provinces that add also geographical bonuses and strategic importance..( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=249606933 )
2)Elite & Balanced enemies for smart AI recruitment ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=259035818 ) or ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=255069802 ) (either version will do) so that AI will recruit a mix of elite and plain troops and not to be too OP.(I plan a new version of this mod to specificaly fit this mod.In a couple of days will be ready)
3)If you want also a challenge at sea Setrus Red sea might do the trick..(i dont know about compatibility but it should be ok..) ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=245053092&searchtext=red+sea )

Known issues.
1) Mods that add units will work ok but units will be produces from barrack level specified from the creator.
2)Seleucids in level 1 barracks cannot picture all the units they are able to produce if you hover your cursor over the building due to big unit number.If you press the recruit units button of a general though they are displayed fine as you can see in the first pictures.
3)as I mentioned before and also in the change notes, later from their time Roman troops were removed from first tier for historic accuracy. this mod purpose is not to be a cheat mod but a historic accurate mod that improves game play. those later Roman troops are still recruited through technology or later barracks and these troops are the only one in game that are Tec related. all other troops of all other factions are available. this does not weaken Rome because i have arranged strong bonuses in attack from Roman barracks to show Roman military superiority. bonuses other factions lack in strength and in time they achieve

The mod works but it causes that many units, both in battle and in campaign map (the general´s character) either dont have body or their armor is just grey.

Guys salute!! Sorry for beeing away. I am facing a very demanding and challenging phase in my real life so modding time is zero for the time beiing. I think this mod works still though

this mod works for me still. i think the 35% attack increase is wayyyy too op so i dont think ill be using it. sorry bruh

i love the idea of this mod, but there's no other like it on the workshop. i'd like to update/remake it myself.
problem is, i have no idea what to change. the only mod i've made is 1 turn research and 1 turn construction for every faction and every tech/building.
could you possibly let me know what you changed to let all units be recruited from the start? i'll do the rest from there. thanks.
