Description
A more compact version of the Barracuda with no oxygen generator and less batteries but with more ammunition and a more powerful (albeit less efficient) reactor. This version's railgun has enough space to fit a small motor so it can aim slightly up and down.

How to play
Compared to its predecessor, the Barracuda II is better suited for prolonged combat scenarios: the 2 coilguns utilize separate loaders, therefore doubling effective ammo, and the frontal railgun can load up to 5 shells at a time. The 2 additional electrical discharge coils on the top and bottom of the sub heavily mitigate the slightly worse weapon coverage, while the lack of a proper oxygen generator is offset by the refilling functionality of diving suits and oxygen tanks. If that wasn't enough, the railgun itself offers a direct aiming option (rather than just the command console), also allowing slight adjustements to be made thanks to the additional motor.

The lack of an oxygen generator heavily reduces power requirements, allowing the sub to function with just 2 low maintenance batteries. The reactor itself is also more powerful (albeit less efficient), drastically reducing the need to stop every now and then in order to recharge.

That said, the compact design of the Barracuda II has less overall armour and presents a couple of weakpoints in the hull (namely, the canopy), while the less powerful engine coupled with the lack of an auxiliary one reduces the overall forward speed.

Author's notes
As with my other subs, the Barracuda II is made with barely resized components, keeping it as vanilla as possible.

It's intended to be an overall improvement over the Barracuda's design (both in its visual and functional components) while retaining its low crew requirement, making it a good choice for small missions with just a friend or two; that said, nothing prevents you from using it for extended campaigns, as long as you can deal with its lack of storage space.

For a massive sub that makes use of the Barracuda II, check out the Revenant Mobile Command Centre.

Other subs I've made:

Gunnarsson Heavy Gunship
Triton Assault Transport
Yonaka Experimental Deep Diver
Stubbs Mobile Railgun Platform
Leo Personal Shuttle
Imp All-Purpose Sub

Ah, I wasn't sure, but considering how fine tuned the rest of the vessel was, I wanted to mention it. Thanks!

You can switch between coilguns using the lever right next to the periscope. The lights will show which coilgun is currently active.

I could be wrong, but It seems like your rearward coilgun has no periscope, am I a dumbass? and not figuring something out? or is this a issue that needs fixing?
