Mod Description
Anemone's Better (And More!) Color of Madness Trinkets is a work-in-progress mod that makes CoM provide proper endgame content. It modifies all CoM rewards, with more content coming.

This mod overhauls how trinkets work in Color of Madness. All base game trinkets have been reworked greatly, new trinkets have been added, and a trinket system was developed to make Color of Madness trinkets act as proper double-edged sword character upgrades. These trinkets modify and enhance heroes, but come with a greater difficulty of use, complex downsides, and other consequences.

All Crystalline class trinkets now can be empowered by Conduit type trinkets, which provide essential stats when used with class trinkets, and a hidden buff to one skill on every vanilla hero when using both a Conduit and class trinket. The first Conduit you will likely find is the Minor Conduit. This will seed future conduit gain, and is a wise investment. Conduits feed off of any available source of energy, with some more specialized to certain sources.

However, the effects of the conduit may spread into the user, starting an evolving quirk chain with many options including greater Conduits, and a powerful capstone quirk if you have obtained all the trinkets. These will be triggered by semi-obvious item consumption.

These greater Conduits are basically overpowered, but with complex and resource-draining downsides. The Abyssal Conduit gives you immense Eldritch strength, at the cost of Stress, food, and light. The Celestial Conduit will overwhelm you with light or shards, but will take them back in equal measure. The Progenitor Conduit will consume your Flesh, but after consuming enough enemies, you may become immortal.

Sky Taint -> Host - Gestating

Host - Gestating -> Host - Gleaming

After producing the Celestial Conduit, the Gleaming will quickly burn out and become hollow.
Host - Husked:
Consume Shard Dust to instantly die in combat. The Progenitor Conduit will spawn as combat loot.
Consume the Blood to gain Crystalline Blood. Become a horrible, stimulant-fueled monster, perfect in mind and body.
Crystalline Blood:
Consume Shard Dust to gain +66% DMG Reflection.
Consume the Blood to gain stress and dmg equal to using Blood in Bloodlust.
Consume the Cure to revert to Host - Husked. A weakness?
Consume Holy Water for Blight.
Shard Mercenary:
Made into a size 3 disease, given +15% DMG and -15% Stress vs Husk.
Consume Irradiant Solution to become Host - Husked

Irradiant Solution:
Provision that is purchasable with shards like Shard Dust
Cost: 4
Purchase: 6 / stack: 3
Performer: Cures Sky Taint and Host quirks, -25 Torch
Enemy Party: Blight (140%) 3 pts/rd for 3rds

Shard Dust:
Purchase: 12 / stack: 6

Other Info:
The Celestial Conduit prevents the torch from burning. When used in a party with the Abyssal Conduit as well, it will equal out to normal torch burn.

Ive started to look into the mods you have since the release of Void's Trinket Separator mod. A much easier way to customize trinkets

Heroes with Host - Husked quirks can neither be cured via Irradiant Solution nor killed via Shard Dust.
While I suspect a mod conflict may be happening, I am not entirely sure if that's the case or not. Any kind of help would be most welcome.

1.2 has been released! Unless some major issues are present that I didn't catch, this will all be working and will only receive a minor update or two until the planned 1.3 update, where I rework all Thing quirks into one, changing quirk!

Fair. Thanks for the specific feedback. Thing's Fang is just unfortunate, I can condense the lines but I agree it does a bit too much.
I actually really like Occultist and BH's original CoM trinkets. They're for frontline endgame/cove Occultist and set-up BH specifically. Caltrops and stuff. What I did with BH's is similar enough to the original. I am currently planning an update just to fine tune a few things, so I may trim some lines here and there. Thank you for the feedback.

The DD2 skills/riposte pack will be out soon. Finished adding the DD2 sounds last night. Even the most complex of these skills will be rather condensed. I think The Burning Stars is like 7 lines (including dmg/crit/acc as 3), while Ruin could be just 1 line.

Mildred's Locket has 10 lines of effects. So does the Thing's Crystalline Fang. Spectral Speartip has 8. Yes, bonus effects count. They seem way overdone, is what I'm saying. Also, the ones included here don't seem to be the ones that needed a rework the most, like the Occultist's or the Bounty Hunter or the Musketeer
