Description
💭 Planting and harvesting in Starbound is a lot of fun in the beginning, when vegetables are new and all we want is to make a perfect vegetable garden! This feeling usually goes away with time, when we realize that plants are just infinite food factories, and when we wait several minutes to water again, or just leave the sprinklers on infinitely waiting for the next harvest.

My goal with this mod is to bring more mechanics related to plants, and how to get resources from them, adding new watering steps without increasing the total plant growth time, making gardening a fun action, not tedious. Possibly in the future, I'm still thinking about implementing better mechanics for using harvested vegetables, cooking, and also farm animal stuff, making these actions a really essential part of the Starbound experience!
💭

🍃 New growth stages of fruiting plants, requiring more frequent watering.
🌱 All plants revert to an intermediate stage when harvested.
🍂 Plants can now rot, requiring your crops to be harvested at the right time.
🥀 Rotten plants generate only seeds, and turn the plant into one of the initial stages.
🚿 Watering cans can be used while the player is walking, but now require water to use.
💧 Sprinklers now consume water, and can be placed on the ceiling, allowing top-down watering indoors.
🍽️ Vegetables eaten raw are now a lot more nutritious.
⏲️ Raw vegetables now have shelf life more realistic and consistent with their characteristics, most lasting longer, and a few lasting less.
💰 Items such as coffee, rice and wheat now have the icon of a bag of grains, giving the item more realism.
🌳 Modified growth time for saplings, which now take ten to twenty minutes to grow.
🫐 Added 'Alien Fruit Plant' species, removing alien fruit from trees in Alien biomes.
💫 Added 'Crop Processor' station to turn wheat into flour, coffee powder, sugar cane into sugar and cocoa into cocoa beans.
☕ Added 'Coffee Machine' station, a fully functional appliance that transforms coffee powder into a delicious drink, which can also be mixed with milk and chocolate.

Oh, thank you very much for the kind words Sirreal!! I'm actually trying so hard to get back on tracks and make mods again, your comment actually gave me a little bit of extra energy to do that, thanks a lot =)

Got it, thanks! Great mods btw.

Oh, you just need to have water in your inventory. It's one of the first upgrades from the Matter Manipulator, so it will not be a problem =)

How do you add water to the watering can?

Oooohh, I see! It's indeed something you would love to explore! I always think that when it comes to wires people usually thinks that need to make something very complicated, or with loooots of different inputs and outputs, but I trully always loved a nice and simple "lever activate that thing"! Also, thanks for talk about it, because everytime someone talk at one of my mods I really, really got HYPED to get back to modding for my favorite game in the world *-*

I'll be honest. I've NEVER messed around with wiring, choosing to leave the slot on the hotbar that WOULD be for the wiring function, empty so that I can use it to "sheath" my weapons and not carry something. I guess I knew of buttons from the elevators in the world, but I didn't even know levers EXISTED. XD

*sigh* Something to consider...

A lever, a buttom, a switch, a dor, anything that can input a signal =)

Ugh, wiring... And what am I supposed to wire it to?
Alpha Drako  [author] 8 Mar @ 6:29pm
Oh, it's pretty simple! You just need to put something in there (wheat, cocoa pods, coffee, or sugar cane) and turn the processor in with any wire input =)

And how does the processor work?
