If your version does not say 1.6.4, simply unsubscribe and resubscribe.
If that does not help, unsubscribe, go to "Your_Drive:\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\400750\" and delete folder "2725764602". Then resubscribe.
Sometimes a Steam restart helps.

If you run into one of the following crashes with a report containing either:
- ">render.scr >render.gui"
or
- "APP_Error :Failed to created memory[...]"
or
- "APP_ERROR: Multiplayer map card type[...]"
it might help to clear the shader cache by deleting "Your_Drive:\Users\Your_Profile\Documents\My Games\gates of hell\shader_cache".

Are other mods compatible?
A: This mod was made, based on the vanilla game. I do not recommend other mods to be run in parallel, since I do not know what they are tinkering with, that might negatively influence my mod or cause crashes.
I could imagine somwthing like "Target priority for tanks FIX" to work with my mod, but I have never tested it.

Will Valour support be added, or support for other mods and game modes?
A: Not planned. Each unit has to be placed individually and scripted separately.

Will other maps and/or winter versions be added?
A: If I have the time and motivation for it.

Map Info

As the title suggests, this is a defensive mission, in which you have to hold the line, in order to prevent the continous waves of enemy forces from invading your base and ultimately killing your officer.

Play as russians vs. germans or vice versa.

Settings are easy (30-35min hold out), normal (40-45min hold out), hard (50-55min hold out) and heroic (60-65min hold out).

The enemy will spawn heavier equipment the further the match progresses.


Field Defense Maps

Preparation-phase: easy 14min, normal 12min, hard 10min and heroic 8min

Fun-switch menu is available.
This menu contains two features, available prior to preparation phase:
- Double the income rate from 250MP per 79sec to 500MP per 79sec, in order to make late game easier.
- Unlimited preparation time
This will not be reversible once activated and is only recommended for heroic. It is still possible to beat heroic without these features but more challenging!

Supply line is split into two vehicles:
- Trucks will be coming in from the central eastern road earning 175MP (350MP with Fun-Switch activated) and a Krad with trailer from the south-west road. The trailer will earn 75MP (150 MP with Fun-Switch activated)
This way it is possible to fall back, sacrificing the higher supply road with trucks, but still being able to defend from near the base with a smaller income

Reinforcements can spawn in from the center west and center east road, as long as you occupy the map center, and as long as the corresponding rally point is closer to the map center, than to the base.

Once your officer dies, the match is lost.

After winning, you can re-enable fog of war and stop your supplies from coming in to see how long you can hold out with only the remaining MP and equipment.


Hill Defense Map

Recommended for 2 or more players

Preparation-phase: easy 22min, normal 20min, hard 18min and heroic 16min

Fun-switch menu is available.
This menu contains two features, available prior to preparation phase:
- Double the income rate from 500MP per 79sec to 1000MP per 79sec, in order to make late game easier.
- Unlimited preparation time
This will not be reversible once activated and is only recommended for heroic. It is still possible to beat heroic without these features but more challenging!

Supplies:
There are 4 radio stations near your base (north-east, south-east, south-west and north-west). You have 4 Radio men available from the start. Send each radio man into one of the round trenches with the control-panel, next to the radio station, so they can call in ressources once the match starts. Each occupied station earns 125MP (250MP with Fun-Switch activated) every 79 seconds. Once an operator dies, you can call in another one.

Reinforcements spawn in from the hangars. Artillery guns will also come in from one of the hangars and gather at the rally point, until upgraded to air-drop. After the upgrade, they will be dropped at the chosen position.

You can call-in spotters to occupie the eight towers outside your base. They will reconnoiter the area ahead.

Once your officer dies, the match is lost.

After winning, you can re-enable fog of war.


Field Defense 2 Map

Preparation-phase: easy 15min, normal 13min, hard 11min and heroic 9min
Defense-phase: easy 35min, normal 45min, hard 55min and heroic 65min

Fun-switch menu is available.
This menu contains two features, available prior to preparation phase:
- Double the max income rate from 500MP per 79sec to 1000MP per 79sec, in order to make late game easier.
- Unlimited preparation time
This will not be reversible once activated and is only recommended for heroic. It is still possible to beat heroic without these features but more challenging!

Supplies:
There are 2 radio stations (near the church, west from the main road in the town and one north-east from the main road in the bunker line). You have 2 Radio men available from the start. Send each radio man near one of the antennas, so they can call in ressources once the match starts. Ressources will be brought to your base (the old factory) via truck, coming from south-west. You earn 150MP per 79 seconds (300MP with Fun-Switch activated), 300MP (600MP with Fun-Switch activated) when the radio station near the church is occupied, 500MP (1000MP with Fun-Switch activated), if both radio stations are occupied. Holding only the station near at the bunker line will have no effect. Once an operator dies, you can call in another one for free (60s cooldown).

Reinforcements spawn in from the southern main road. If both stations are occupied, most support units will be airborne around the chosen position. Also if both stations are occupied and the rally-points are closer to the bunker line than to the main base, vehicles and infantry can enter the battlefield via points from the west or the east (depending on whether the rally points are closer to the west or the east), just behind the bunker line.

You can call-in spotters to occupie the towers on the map. They will clear up the fog of war ahead.

Once your officer dies, the match is lost.

After winning, you can re-enable fog of war.

@OHETA That it really kind of you, but I think I keep it now the way it is. If you want that map online with your added US faction, you may upload it. Just credit and you're good.

@OHETA Yes, that is possible. I'd reccomend you look up waypoint tutorials on youtube for example.

great mod, reminds me of this mod for robz realism for mowas2 where u had maps like normandy and it was about defending hq, and aalso there was this supply truck mechanic and upgrdes
