Description
Do you also want to just play a Multiplayer Game where Team Mates spawn close to each other instead of being scattered all over the Map? How long were you waiting for a new Game Feature or a Mod that would finally allow you and your Mates to start close to each other in a Game? And how about the Contrary?

Wait no more, my dear Friend! Here is what you were seeking all the Time! And it comes with a Bonus! Because even in Teams, Players may get a Start Location that respects it’s Civilization's Start Biases. That's a 2in1 Deal!!!

Don't take this mod for granted! I've been working on it since Months, and I can assure you, it was HORRIBLE working on it. The Script that assigns the Start Biases has many flaws, so (In a Nut Schell) I had to completely rework how Major Players get assigned a starting Plot (considering it's Start Biases) before even working on Team Starts. Works with Base Game, Rise and Fall & Gathering Storm.

Features:
- Players in the same Team will spawn closer to each other and away from any other Players (either in a different Team or without One). I've tested it with Teams up to 4 Players, and in any Map that isn't Archipelago or Islands or has small land areas, the 4 Players spawned close to each other and away from other Major Players.

- Even in Teams, Players may have a Starting Location that respects the Start Biases of its Civilization. Though, only if it allows for a Start near its Team Mates.

- By default, Team Mates will spawn on the same Landmass/Area, but because certain Maps like Archipelago or Islands may not allow for that, there is an Option in the Set-Op Menu to disable that function and to allow Team Members to spawn even on different Islands/Areas if distance to Team Mates can be kept short.

- You can adjust the Minimum/Maximum Distance between Players of the same Team, and there is also an option to adjust the Minimum Distance between Players from different Teams.

Notes:
- This Mod only changes how Major Players get assigned a Starting Location, No changes are made to how City-States get a Starting Location.

- It's advised to deselect "Team mates on same Landmass" when Playing On Maps with small Land Areas, such as Archipelago or Islands.

- This Mod is tested and balanced around Teams up to 4 Players. Any more Players in a Team may or may not spawn close to each other.

- Don't expect the Start Biases to get respected in all cases, they are only assured if Distance to Team Mates can be kept.

- This Mod doesn't work for TSL Maps. Obviously.

How it works?
- The Script sorts Teams based on the (Team) Size and the Start Biases of all the Players in each Team (based on the Tier). Example: a Team with 4 Players: Mali, Ethiopia, Canada and Australia will always be prioritized over a Team with 2 Players: Rome and Georgia.
At the same Time, Players are sorted based on their Start Biases (based on Tier). Following the example above: Mali will get prioritized over Canada.
This will ensure that harder to place Teams/Players will always get assigned a Plot first, so that it's more likely that everyone will get its valid (Start Bias) Start Location (and that No One is crying if not - No, we don't want anyone to cry).

- The script won't spawn a Player until it finds plots where its Team Mates can spawn close to it. If in a Team of 4 or larger, the function will search for a plot where at least 3 Mates can spawn close to the Player. If it can't find One, then it searches for Plots where at least 2 Mates can spawn close to the Player, if it again can't find a Plot, then it searches for at least One Team Mate to spawn close to the Player. All that while ensuring that the Plot is far enough from any major Player that isn't a Team Mate.

Single Player Version:
- Origin - Real Start Locations: Improves how Players are assigned a Starting Location while considering all the Start Biases. (Mutually exclusive with "Teams . . Together . . Strong!!")

Compatibility and Recommendations:
This Mod is Compatible with:
- Customization VI: If you also want to adjust the Distance of City-States, then I recommend using this Mod too.
- Got Lakes (Various Worlds) Map Script: TTS will spawn Major Land Civs close to their respective Team Members, while Got Lakes will handle City-States and Players with an Ocean Start.
- and Yet (not) Another Maps Pack: Just make sure, in the Set-Up Menu you set "Start Position Link" to 'Random' (And don't expect This Mod to work with the TSL Maps).

Not compatible with any other Mods that alter AssignStartingPlots.lua.

This map will not load into an online Tilted Axes map for some reason. If there's anything I could give you to help fix this let me know.

Looks like it still works. Loaded in just to have a look and 3 of us spawned together (online).

Stopped working I believe. Just did a 2v2v2v2 and it put each partner on other sides of the map and on different continents.

you mean it broke your game eventhough it's disabled? that doesnt make sense. and what do you mean by broken, you can't start a new game or what?
I can't help anyone if they're descriptive with their report. details are important. and also logs.

BBS and this Mod rework the same script, so they are not compatible with each other. Which mod overwrites the other, that I don't know, if BBS has a higher load order than this onw, then BBS will be the one.

I'm not familar with that setting, is it from BBS?

Russia has Tundra as Start Bias not Snow.
