PREFACE

In addition to new content (see the images accompanying this mod), it also contains patches for several mods - some mods have graphical glitches which are addressed, others have legacy content which had been pulled by their original authors but are being stored here due to the changes having game-breaking effects on my characters and savegames. Hence this is called a Mods and Fixes Pack.

While this mod does affect Sparrow's Darker Stories and the Procedural Campaign Variants mods by Ani and opaj, they are not necessary for the proper running of this mod. These however are mostly small fixes that address minor issues in their mods which were never patched or dealt with properly.


BASE MATERIAL

- Scores and scores of new character faces and headpieces, all wearing headgear, are available for giving your characters truly distinctive appearances - all manner of tricornes, bicornes, brimmed hats, ushankas, leather caps, coifs and Phrygian hats are availble for use. Note however that this component has been discontinued - select original hats and headgear in this mod are being migrated away to other mods over time, while a master version of them is being maintained online for my friends' private use.
- Around a dozen custom hairpieces, inspired by Hittite culture (this could well mean bald spots on your character heads, though).
- New beard and face stubble styles. Unfortunately some of these are not applicable to vanilla heads or faces, only those added by mods I currently use. Gilded Magpie's mods have been given priority for these new beards as they come available.
- New names for settlements, sites and heroes!


CHANGES & PATCHES to OTHER MODS:

GILDEDMAGPIE'S mods

- Fixed an issue with one of the custom heads from the Mongolian Hairs mod, which was missing an ear.
- Straw hat from Hairacter mod was redacted, making it look like a REAL hat. For once. A few other headpieces from the same mod have also been remastered.
- Flat caps (???) from the Arthuruins mod have been amended, making them look more recogniseable as hats.
- Woven Pauldrons from the Mabon were found to be bugged. A hotfix has been included with this mod.
- The number of available oversleeves (with corresponding individual patterns) has been increased to 3 (featuring designs selected by me).
- Oversleeves from the Chechen Visuals mod no longer disappear when a character wearing them is imported into a new campaign, but they are now harder to find (their "weight" parameters have been set at 0.65).
- Fixed an issue with the Oversleeve, where any ring on the right hand could be seen through any oversleeve covering it. I fixed it by changing the <depth> variables on the oversleeves to get the desired effect.
- Reinstated Firlow update coding to patch over residual legacy code from Arthuruins Shields mod.

These amendments were done, because I personally like the look of her oversleeves - and use hats and oversleeves to make my mystics distinct from other characters.


YONDERING for WANDERING, THYRON'S MAGIC STORIES
- Emergency patches have been added for these 2 mods.


SMOKER'S EXTENDED OFFHANDS MOD & MAGPIE's HERALDIC SHIELDS
- Not all shields in the vanilla game got picked up by Smoker. I have since then edited the Dragon's Paw shield, so that it feels less trivial in comparison with the other shields that Smoker had either introduced or edited.
- Reintroduced the Tower Shield, albeit it is now known as a pavise, and is very powerful (but very bulky). Has armour bonus as well as block, but a very high penalties to mobility. This was done because I learnt to enjoy it and don't want him to screw around with my Legacy characters.
- [Editorial] There are also text name changes, since it's clear Smoker speaks Spanish and doesn't understand English spelling (paralize versus paralyze).
- Acid Pot from Expanded Offhands has a new skin.
- Heraldic Shields by Gilded Magpie are no longer craftable, but are instead used purely by town militia.
- Weight of 0.152 assigned to villagers bearing shields, this was meant to water down the strength of militia since the kite shield can be very, very powerful.
The Kavacham mod has more Tower Shields, and also retains buffs in this mod meant for the Dragon's Paw shield and Vracsel's shield.

[EMERGENCY NOTE]
Because of changes to combat mechanics by update 1.10, combat accuracy stats have been changed, affecting some of Smoker's mods.

A modified version of Smoker's Expanded Traits mod is now included in this mod and will remain so until further notice. If no notice is received from Smoker, the amended version of the Expanded Traits mod it will become part of this mod.

COMRAT'S EQUIPMENT PACKS
- Bad coding causing an alignment bug with the Totem Bow series from the Ranger Pack is picked up and amended in this mod.
- Legacy coding has been added to ensure that capes from Comrat's mods do not disappear when a character wearing them is imported from Legacy into a game.
- 4 hat hairs - an blue hood, an ushanka, a dockenbaret and a Scythian hood - in this mod (for now) are designed specifically to fit with four capes - the Nomad Cloak, the King's Cloak, the Fur Cloak and the Moonlight Cloak.


LEGENDARY WEAPONS by DAVEA
- [Editorial] Many changes added - for punctuation, grammar, and canon, eg reference to "Thrixl Ghosts" replaced with "Kyoren Spirits". The corresponding monsters also got new graphics.
- Appearance and stats of Earth Knights and Earth Lords changed, to make them tougher, more intimidating and more dangerous.
- Earth Lord's Mace has been nerfed, and now comes in 3 different versions. All of them are extremely costly to obtain.
- (upcoming?) May add items from ComRat's Ranger Pack as rewards / props for the Kill Stealer quest.


ANI'S MODS - SPARROW's DARKER STORIES:
- [Editorial] Ani had added talismans behind my back (which I sadly then blamed on Comrat). I did some searching, figured out that they weren't his and have since then added new text to them. Not very sure what Ani is trying to do especially since said talismans are similar to vanilla ones.


OPAJ'S PROCEDURAL CAMPAIGN VARIANTS
- [Editorial] Nomenclature changes to help names of variants fit the overall feel of the vanilla game.


STANFREED'S SPICY EVENTS
- Some very, very, minimal support especially for Chinese language. No plans for expansion unless demanded.


THYRON'S MAGIC STORIES, SILVERKITSU'S YONDERING FOR WANDERING
- Missing dialogue files have been identified and patched in.


INCOMPATIBLE MODS:
- Seanna's Cosmetics (this mod is not exactly compatible with any hat headpiece mod, including this one)
- Pikamew362's Top Hats (ditto)
- Don Thy Helmet (ditto)

It's not entirely clear here... If I download this mod WITHOUT all the requirements (I only have expanded off-hands) will it still work, or will it cause issues? I don't want to add a bunch of mods I'm not going to use.

Purtroppo esiste questa soltanto in frammenti ed elementi dispariti. Sto facendo una traduzione italofonico per questo gioco, ma il progresso è lentissimo. Sono spiacente.

These were mods such as the Ranger Pack which used to have a RANGED_ACCURACY modifier. Following some changes in Wildermyth proper, the use of this parameter in-game was discontinued and so, mod items that solely touched this parameter became useless.

I have since then started to add fixes to this project that replace the RANGED_ACCURACY modifiers with those that instead affect charisma and tenacity, since there are a couple of mods, including my own, which utilise these stats.

I have no clue about smoker's defense mod, and don't know if I'd be touching it.

Hello, I was wondering about something in the description since it is slightly confusing me. Because of the change in Update 1.10, it states accuracy changes were made, affecting some of his mods. Did you mean this mod made the changes to better adjust the values for his Combat Expanded: Defense mod? Should I take that mod off after those changes, or is it now okay to keep it on after the changes? Also, I noticed that Smoker's defense mod makes the ability Riposte+ really......awful. Do you think you could make a fix regarding the ability riposte or no? Im sorry if I am being stupid, but I was really hoping if you could clarify some stuff to me. Thank you.
