Automatons Major Faction

Description
The Automatons come back from ES1. ESG required. DLC4 (Awakening) required. Load AFTER ESG.


Faction Specifics :
- Store Industry and receive Interest on it.
- Build ships to help your economy, giving industry and food.
- Multiple techs that have similar effects to ES1 Automatons' techs.
- Automatons heroes (made by Tat and generously gifted by him).
- G0d3l Builder.87 as the temporary faction leader until the actual Automatons' leader finds that annoying bug preventing him from existing (if it's possible to fix).
- Bonuses on Terran as the pop boon.
- Special terraformation to allow an Atoll/Forest/Ocean planet to be converted to Terran, after all we wouldn't want to miss on the bonuses.
- Starting Sowers minor for the joint venture.
- Almost full English localisation for the faction.
- Unique Automaton Skill Tree.

Note : The % FIDS Module unlocked at juggernaut tech can give up to 20% FIDS on a single system. Attempting to stack more will do nothing.
In order to store industry simply do nothing at the end of your turn, or have excess industry when finishing a building or ship.


I don't suggest making a custom faction with only one of the 2 elements of faction, as som techs are tied to the gameplay affinity which shouldn't be the case, and vice-versa.

The industry stockpile shows up in the industry tooltip for the planet (only if you've stockpiled any inudstry). It defaults to just 25% of your industry (on top of the normal 100%), a far cry from the 500% from ES1. The intent is to synergize with orbital behemoths, with various modules offering associated bonuses including stockpile cap increase. If you prefer a more classic flavor or don't like behemoths, SimulationDescriptors[FactionTraits].xml has two lines modifying the 'TotalMult' which can be adjusted to start with a much larger industry stockpile. I uncommented the first line, boosted it to 3, and boosted the second line to 0.5, which gives me roughly a 4.5x industry cap that will go up to 6x with a level 4 system.

If there's supposed to be a racial questline it was not working for me, possibly an interaction with other mods.

Awesome mod, thanks Arphar for creating this, it got me back into ES2 after a long hiatus!

This still works right? If so that (very sadly) makes it the last of the 3 major faction Endless Space 2 mods that are still playable.

Well, that's a bummer. If that's the case, though, I would prefer to use the pirate ship models. But I don't know if they also have models of capital ships like carriers. It's been a while since I played ES2.

It is not possible to import new models inside the game, all you can use when modding are models that already exist.

I always find it sobering that "new factions" use the ships of another faction in ES2. - Is it so difficult to integrate new ships? Or in this case the ships from ES1?
Apart from that, the faction image is more reminiscent of Oblivion (2013) than of the Automatons from ES1.

I am unable to reproduce the issue, are you playing the stock Automatons faction ?
If so, try verifying game files and see if the issue still comes up.
If it still does, join the ESG server and post your logs in the modding channel and I will take a look.

You can find your logs in Documents/Endless Space 2/Temporary Files
Then zip the latest .html file and send it.

well, i have tried that, but it didn't work, i put the mod to load as last, while ESG 1.6 loads first, i only run 5 other mods, endless moons,new governments,pallete mod, hissho only behemoths,red hissho ships, in that order
