HMCS Endeavor

Hey everyone, here's the seventh airship of this release, the carrier Endeavor. Endeavor is a twin hull light carrier designed to be versatile and more capable than the preceding Benevolence class of escort carrier. Endeavor has a wide flight deck designed to accommodate larger planes or two rows of smaller ones. She has two banks of casemates per side, plus two CIWS on the port side to balance out the small island on the starboard side. These CIWS, combined with the long range she likes to keep, should keep her fairly safe from medium sized enemies of a similar tech level.

This particular BP is outfitted with six large dive bombers. Later this week I'll post a version with sixteen fighters. I must say that the dive bombers aren't great. They're big and slow and pretty easy to hit, so if you're playing campaign I do recommend replacing them with your own aircraft or elsewise being careful about how you deploy the carrier to minimize the damage they take.

In the future I'll be building a much larger carrier that looks quite similar but carries many more planes and a better armament and defense suite. I may also give Endeavor some more plane loadouts, like adding some heavier planes suspended beneath the carrier's hull. One benefit of using airships, I suppose. Let me know what you think and any ideas you might have for future builds.

The forward bridge under the flight deck has ACBs to release and recall the planes.
