Description
NSB Tank Designer Rebalance by GOC Team

Grand vanilla expansion, focusing on the improving the tank designer and some other stuff. Adds a lot of new stuff, including the mechanised designer, new modules, technologies et AI improvement and history-files redacting. May conflict with other mods. KR compatible.


Detailed description:

MAIN CANNON UPGRADE SYSTEM:
Now you can improve the guns of your tank up to 10 points, paying with the IC cost (both flat and %-based) and extra resources. It will help to differentiate your steel beasts, also it will benefit players with better researched arty-technologies, because some levels are opened after some level of research.
On each level you get a bit of land attack (4%/lvl) and air attack (5%/lvl), plus 5%/lvl on piercing. The payback for this upgrades is IC cost increasing and reliability decreasing.
To compensate reliability decrease from weaponary ugrade other improvement types decrease it only by 1.5%. Also engine and armor upgrades now consume only 0.5 xp on level, while the gun still costs 1.


MECHANISED DESIGNER:
Added a designer mechanic for mechanised chassis. You are free to either build small, cheap and mass-produced crafts, or create heavy and effective variants for your elite forces.
Main features:
Mechanised chassis can mount support or AT guns, be specialised in defence/offence or logistics.
Mechanised mostly cost from 4 to 8 IC, the AI will use pre-generated blueprint with medium stats. Player can use it too upon the research, if he don`t want to bother with it.
Mechanised bonuses now reduced to 10% for each attack type, no more 400% for hard one.
Motorised now cost 2 IC, but require more for default division. Also motorised now grant 5% bonus for attack.


TOTALEN TANK MODULE REBALANCE:
Tank modules got heavily rebalanced to increase the diversity in tank builds and remove ahistorycal meta
* Tank hulls are rebalances:
Modern tanks are cheaper, faster, stronger. Roll over this sov♥♥♥♥♥♥s with your Wunderwaffe-50 tank.
Superheavies received more armor, speed and became a little bit cheaper. More playable now.
Better hulls now give better breakthrough and defense stats. On the other hand, hulls give lesser reliability.
* Tank turrets are rebalanced:
All turrets cost more.
One man turrets now provide attack debuff, but don`t decrease speed and are cheap. One man on medium provides additional armor due to its small size.
Two man may slow tank a bittle. Two man medium increase armor,.
Three man turret slow tank a bit more, but provide larger bonuses, including damage output increase in heavy, superheavy and modern types.
Rebalanced and redone heavy turrets, all of them are three man now.
Fixed superstructures provide more defense, increase armor and have some other bonuses. On the other hand, lesser structures give less reliability bonus.
Added new type of turrets - open-topped compartments, that act like worsened superstructures. Cheaper, though.
Also you can`t change the turret type now, sorry Cringe-Maus with Pz.1 turret build.
* Tank cannons are rebalanced:
Added new tank module "Advanced small cannon". It is medium cannon of 39`, primary use is to fill the niche between HVC1 and MC1. Now you can create your T-34-57 or Pz.3M.
Added "Lightweight Medium Cannon" - M24 Chaffe style.
AA guns were buffed, and buffed by lot. Really useful now.
Heavy MG got +1 soft attack, hooray!
Basic high-velocity got nerfed, was too powerful.
Improved small cannon -0.5 IC cost.
Basic small cannon +2 soft attack.
Autocannon 2 is now 1939 tech.
Medium cannon is now 22|18 and costs 0.5 IC more.
Improved medium cannon is now 30|24.
Howitzers have less soft attack, but more hard.
Rocket launchers have way better stats with way higher IC cost. Think of them as a complex of a normal cannon + rocket rails.
Heavy cannons have way more attack, make the heavies great again!
AP numbers changed a little.
Resource cost reduced on all types except oh heavy ones, but increased on some light ones.
* Must-have modules rebalanced:
Armor differentiated a bit, all three types can be used. Armor upgrade now increases defense.
Armor change costs less xp.
PE engine is now playable, gas turbine give more speed. Diesel now eats less fuel, but reliability bonus changed to 20.
Engines now cost from 3 to 5 xp to change.
Suspensions now give more speed (torsion and interleaved).
Suspensoins now cost from 1 to 3 xp to change.
* Additional modules rebalanced:
Smoke launchers are twice cheaper, but limited by 1 and nerfed a bit.
Dozer blade gives 3 entrenchment, but costs 2 IC and reduces speed.
Armor skirts now cost 1 IC, but give 1% of hardness and more armor.
Radios cost 0.5|1|1.5 now.
Autoloader now reduce reliability, but geve a lot of evasion stats. Also it is expensive in xp to put on.
Stabilizer cost less, give more breakthrough. Cost 2 xp.
Easy maintenance and some other stuff cost more xp, but not too much.
Secondary turrets are cursed AF and nerfed, as they should be.
* And even more...


ARMOR BATTALIONS REWORK:
Now armored cars and LT battalions have 3 HP, MT - 4, HT and Modern`s - 5. SPAA, SPG and TD have 2 HP per batallion. Also specialized armor variants now have 10 org, instead of 0.
Amount of tanks/armored cars required for battalions standartised - 50.
Amount of vechiles required for specialized battalions reduced. SPG/SPAA - 36. TD - 40.
This changes shall allow you to do more diverse and heavy divisions.


FLAME TANKS REBALANCE:
Now you need more flame tanks for you support coy, and the flammenwerfer cost more. But in reward you get way better stats and it really matters. No suicide canister meta allowed, time for proper flamers.
Added three new flamethrower types to reflect historical designs.
(You need 25 tanks for a company).


    OTHER STUFF:
  • Armored cars rebalance:
    Rebalanced armored cars to a proper level of power. Now they should be even useful.
    Especially as a support company.
  • Fuel consumption rebalance:
    Medium tanks require 0.5 fuel more, heavies - 1, superheavies - 2. Moderns - 0.8.
  • Supply consumption rebalance:
    Batallions require roughly 30% less supply. Really helps AI, still need to manage your logi.
  • AI rebalance:
    Improved AI tank designer, now it builds better tanks. New blueprints were balanced between history and game meta, so no cringe (hail to Expert AI).
    Improved AI division design, now more challenging and optimal, closer to meta.
  • Technologies touch:
    Added passive bonuses for engine and armor techs 3 and 4, increasing their usefullness.

Due to the enlistment of uploader this is a legacy version now. It will remain fully operational until "Arms Against Tyranny" expansion release. All ideas from the mod was transfered to a new one. Subcribe to it, please.

fisto the robo, you are free to integrate with any changes while linking my mod in description. Be advised that there is pretty lot of rebalancing and batallion changes, may conflict with already existing changes in your mod

It actually works, more suited for vanilla game because of AI templates, has gun upgrade system and is more balanced.
