Description
Acalians Civics & Origins

This will add in a number of new Civics and Origins to your game and should be compatible with pretty much everything though please let me know if you find any issues.

In my games I use the "Ethics & Civics: Bug Branch" mod, and so I have included direct compatibility with that mod into mine, so that it can be used with the new ethics added in.
This means that you can use Acalians Civics with or without Bug Branch with no problems

Standard Civics

Advanced Robotics
As this species forayed into the wonders of technology and made their way to the stars, they made great leaps in robotics learning how to mass produce high quality, advanced robots with ease.

Beacon of Hope
At its core, this empire regards the peace and well-being of all its denizens to be of the utmost regard and puts a great effort into creating a stable and loving society.

Berserkers
This species still utilises some kind of ancient semi-hallucinogenic elixir for some of its armies. These 'Berserkers' are brutal and hardy warriors who train for the deadliest of combat.

Enhanced Security
Security of the civilian population is a priority. For that reason, this government invests more than average on law enforcement.

Furtive Population
Being naturally shy and communal has led the development of buildings and outdoor areas being constructed with hiding and huddling in mind. This even spread a little into the development of cyber securities and diplomacy.

Interstellar Curiosity
This Civilisation has always had a fascination with space exploration, developing strong telescopes and interstellar sensors early on in their development.

Mercenary Contracts
Rather than maintain a singular defensive force, this government decided some time ago to invest in the ability to hire mercenary groups. In exchange for support and patronage, these mercenaries pay dividends to the government and will defend it when needed.

Military Industrial Complex
An extremely large factory complex made to facilitate the production of Alloys and military hardware.

Military Isolationists
This xenophobic society puts their military and its aspirations above all else, as they began expanding into space, national security, the protection of borders, and acquisition of new systems without alien interference became a forefront issue.

Paranoid Ruler
A highly centralised totalitarian state, led by an oppressive and paranoid leader. This empire is friendly to few, and suspicious of any and all activities that could possibly have a negative effect on the state or the perception of its ruler. For this reason, it maintains a large military and devotes significant resources to military development programs.

Psychological Well-Being
The leading minds of this empire put a great focus into maintaining the mental health of its citizens, increasing the overall happiness of its population which in turn provides other bonuses.

Recycling Initiatives
Recycling the waste of the masses allows this empire to reclaim some of the raw materials as well as produce energy during the disposal of the non-recyclable waste.

Ruthless Slavers
This empire has a culture of oppressiveness and disdain (almost) for those considered beneath them as slaves and as such tend to mistreat them.

Slave Masters
Much of this empires infrastructure, like its culture, is built on the back of slaves and the labour they provide.

Spy Master
This empire trains its political individuals in the intricacies of espionage, with the head or heads of state appointing the Spy Master to be in charge of such matters.

Weapon Specialists
This species invested a great deal into weapons development and testing programs, as such they have very well developed weaponry that makes their offensive capabilities quite impressive.


Machine Civics

Militaristic Source Code
The base code of this machine empire was built for one thing only; War. In short, the reason for their existence is to excel in military prowess. This makes them exceptionally dangerous adversaries in battle, however it does leave them lacking in non-military areas.

Optimized Machines
These machines have been physically optimized to reduce their assembly costs, upkeep costs and housing usage. These physical optimizations have also been applied to resource storage, increasing storage capacity.
(Gives species the Optimized Machines Trait)

Weapon Specialists
Weapons development and testing programs seem to be an integral part of this species' original programming, as such they have very well developed weaponry that makes their offensive capabilities quite impressive.


Hive Civics

Bio-Mechanics
This hive has the ability to integrate with inorganic materials allowing them to reduce construction cost and time across the board.

Bio-Neural Circuitry
This hive has figured out a way to integrate itself with its technology making their computer systems incredibly sophisticated and responsive.


Corporate Civics
