Intro - "Gachapon!"
Japanese Announcer (Attempting to speak English): Bleach: Brave Souls.

Welcome to the glossary that surrounds gacha gaming.

BTS: Not The KPop Band, Ya Bakas! -Weeb Trash For Morons: The Gacha Gaming Glossary: There's relatively very few gacha games in Steam (like, "Bleach: Brave Souls," "Onmyoji" and "Mobius Final Fantasy', just to name a few.) So, a slang translator is needed to get us up to speed.

Tip: "Priconne" is the nickname for "Princess: Connect."

Note: Help me catch any misinformation, incorrect grammar, misspellings, other mistakes and missing info. Thanks in advance.

My Gacha Experiences

These are in chronological order. Also, I am trying remember stuff to put in the guide/doing research to jog my memories. Technically speaking, some of the examples are from gacha games that I have played and/or attempted to play are probably slightly outdated info by now. Bare in mind, you're also asking me to really try to remember two gacha games that I played two, three or four years ago or games that didn't work on my phone (Like "Princess: Re:Connect" doesn't work with my previous old phone, Moto G6). So sorry in advance. I will update the guide with better examples and more definitions in the future.

  • Kingdom Hearts: Unchained X (mobile) - This one of my very first gacha game, I downloaded it for KH following the lore reasons (Spoiler: It's a prequel of sorts and recon a few things). I had to quit, since my old Samsung android phone can't handle it, the PVP and Raids that I go to are slideshows. Any screenshots that I occasionally use in my Steam guides are from circa 2018/2019 - 2020. I didn't know what a "gacha game" is or was, during that time.
  • Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp (mobile) - This is the second gacha game that I played, I regard this as "Baby's first gacha game." Because, it's gameplay first, gacha second. It's very relaxing, there's a tiny story of being a campsite manager. Villagers just come and go in your campsite (Unless, ya convince them to stay.) The gacha aspect is hidden, like the event banners and buying certain furniture. It's arguably "kid friendly" as far as a gacha game goes. Eventually, I had to uninstall it, since my Moto G6 can't handle the update were they added AR mode (I don't recommend it for "Oh, no, who will think of the children."/"Mom, Mom, Phineas and Ferb are playing a gacha game!!" reasons).(Back then, I didn't know what a gacha game was, when I got a bit more knowledgeable, I usually think of the Square Enix/Disney game. Not anything that's suppose to be baby proof by Nintendo).
  • Princess Connect Re:Dive - (mobile) I only manage to watch the intro and play the tutorial. My previous old android phone, the Moto G6, was too weak to handle it. I can't begin the story, due to the lack of storage space.
  • Bleach: Brave Souls - This is the only PC gacha game that I am currently playing. Hence, why this guide has so many examples.

Honorable Mentions

I never played these games for one reason or the other or outright avoiding them./waiting for company and/or fan drama dust to settle. Before I download.

  • Fire Emblem: Heroes - My brother, Shukuro, recommended this one to me. I dunno what it's like expect that it's a waterdown Fire Emblem game and another Nintendo gacha game.
  • Magia Record: Mahuo Shojo Madoka Magia Side Story - The only time when I first heard of this gacha game was years later after it got it's plug pulled. I was mopey that I missed out on it. But good news, Crunchyroll is airing the anime adaptation and I couldn't be more please.
  • Genshin Impact - (PC/mobile/console) I only like this game from afar, heard that the community is a bit crazies. But this is more of an Osu! thing and wallpapers for my phone. The indie company was founded by weebs for weebs and I like that they scared Tencent a bit.). But I never downloaded a Chinese gacha game before, since I only played the Japanese ones and I don't know just how horrible the gacha is/Or if "I can easily get away with playing without dumping too much money". The reason why I know how some of the game's mechanics work, it's due to some of the Youtubers that I'm subscribed to are playing the Genshin in the background.

I will only download if Shukuro and other family members/relatives really recommend it to me. But I don't think I would download, due to the CCP having their boot on Hoyoverse's neck for certain things.
