Description
Reforged Eden 2 version here:

https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3480803306

This 1.10.+ [Reforged Eden 1] version has everything you need to start your galaxy quest. Being made of plastic, with additional thrust, this offers twice the reverse and side thrust as other size 10 carriers, making this initially easier to maneuver. Front and rear Pilots seats for convenience. Teleporter next to Main Pilot seat to ease frustration/anxiety and accessibility. Core 9.

Top deck to lower deck accessibility for transfer/storage of extra HVs while in space. Initial lift of 93.1k at 1g. With 24 Solar Panels she will initially idle at -0.3kPU with shield on and thrusters off.

This was created from the bare HELIOS Carrier sample that Jrandall put out in January 2021. This version has over 1500 hours of play, over thousands of light years, for almost the last two years. Used for two Vanilla and two Reforged playthroughs.

I wanted to maximize the ability to haul heavy weight and make a functional portable interstellar base. I decided that plastic was the way to go, for this, to maximize Cargo/CV carrier lift. This version can initially carry 93.1k at 1g.

Like others, after trial and error, I have shrunk this down to a 2.5 bay carrier with the rear bay enlarged to accommodate almost any multiples of modules from “other standards” other than Helios.

Why HELIOS? -

Now, long after the HELIOS carrier was created, you need even more small specialized ships, if you are using weights, volumes, and CPU. These ships are for fighting, looting, mining, and hauling. You may have several sizes/strengths of CVs that are also multipurpose.

Having a separate module for production, storage, and gardening allow you to put all of the CPU saved toward carrier thrust allowing much more lift than an equal multipurpose carrier CV.

There is no other practical, less frustrating, way to bring what you need for a successful playthrough of the game and haul as much ore/loot back across the galaxy. This carrier solves all those problems, so far, very cheaply.

Large, lower, oxygenated hangar keeps all your SVs and HVs toasty warm at all times.

With 1 auxiliary core, you can add 2 XL Rear thrusters and an Advanced Warp drive. This will allow you to take everything you need across the galaxy with 60+ AU jumps very early in the game.

NOTES -

This ship should ONLY be parked near the sun, with temporary waypoint, to keep it absolutely safe. Has defense for drones only. Remove waypoint when leaving.

However, this can be initially landed on your home planet “to collect all your things”. Created to be a portable intergalactic space base only.

Easily carries 4 small/medium CVs on Top deck.

1 auxiliary core will pay for itself with 60+ warp capability alone!

What MODULES? - (Garden, Production, Storage)

Supply/Garden module: Now you are sick all the time. Take your garden with you. Putting a garden in each of my Cvs has become too frustrating when I am attacked and constantly lose my garden. A separate Garden CV or base with a Teleporter makes the most sense now. I take mine with me(also have separate base). The separate module will not drain the carrier.

Currently I spawn this for early game play to make ammo, food, medicine:

Production module: The power required to perform all that production could quickly drain the HELIOS. Separate module will not drain the carrier. However, will still cost with weight added by ship.

Currently I use this:

Storage module: A separate, dedicated, storage module will not add CPU to the carrier, only weight will be added.(Must permanently install empty!);

Currently I use this and when maneuverability worsens I blueprint or go home:

I store my extra ores, blocks, components at a large Space station located in my home solar system often near a UCH station.

When I need to add storage to my HELIOS compatible Space station I use this:

For a longer period of planetary exploitation of resources, I use this Janus sized landing pad:

Thanks Hallister(accidentally deleted the post - Sorry). Might be for the RE only (currently deco only) assets on the bridge near the pilots seat. This might have changed in recent updates because they may serve an actual purpose in RE 2.0(pure speculation). If they are a problem I will remove them. I thought the new assets looked cool though.

Yes, there are currently problems with the ramp. So much so that I have removed them from some of my bases. Sorry! The workaround, for me, is to just leave the HVs on top of the carrier for now.

Amazing work sir!
Quick question, it appears I am able to clip through the bottom boarding ramp that connects hangar to the upper deck. Is this a known bug or is it perhaps a problem on my end?
Thank you!

I had originally made a special module for that space that had 40 container controllers at 320k and massive production with too many constructors. When just near half full the carrier could not really move.

So I scrapped that one and made a massive drop ship. both of these ships fit perfectly. However, realistically it was no better than the large drop ship module by Jrandall. Here is a modified version by Lam here:

What I do is use a storage module back there and park extra CVs there also. The back was carved out to save weight that could be put toward thrust. Here is my main RE storage module that I use and can be carried effectively:

https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2861584501

This has 6 X 640k controllers and 26 "ease of use" color coded and speed sorted cargo boxes.

If you would like I can send you my original monstrosity to play with. but you will need to turn weights and volumes off. It does also have an asymmetrical similar to this supply module:

Anyway, Let me know

Anyone knows a good storage Module for the rear slot?
Most of them are not long or wide enough and i dont want to waste too much space.

Thanks Jivali. There is 1 I have developed but it is almost preposterous. It had no real defense, but could haul alot, with too much storage and large hangar doors on both ends. Has been mothballed due to numerous more viable alternatives.

I thought that a more multipurpose fighter/hauler would be more cost effective and is what I use.

Will there be a drop ship for that wide back end?

Thanx Ishantil! I have hesitated to upload some blueprints because of these problems.

Aaaah. That makes a lot of sense now. Thanks for letting me know about that. I'll look forward to your updated version once they fix the problems with the game.

I really like this carrier!
