Description
Presenting the 75th annual Hunger games!

May the odds be ever in your favor!

For this RMS, I have tried to recreate the arena from the 75th Hunger Games in Catching Fire.
You start in the center and must decide whether to risk a brutal fight for the cornucopia of resources in the center or if you will face the uncertain dangers on the outside of the map.

Recommended settings

Game – Random Map or DM or King of the Hill
Map style – Custom
Location – ZN@Hunger_G_75_v2.1
Size – Giant (or LudiKRIS)
Difficulty – Hardest (see note on AIs below)
Number of Players – 8 (fill the rest with Computers if you are less than 8)
Resources – Standard if using the HD Edition (or AoF) or the UP; otherwise high so you can immediately build a TC
Population – Any
Reveal map – Normal
Starting age – Standard
Victory – Last Man Standing (multiplayer only) or Standard or Conquest
Lock teams – Off

About the AI

The Conquerors AI fails most of the time in my experience.
The new AI in the HD Edition does considerably better and usually manages to build a town.
Any custom AI that can play nomad maps might do ok on this map.

Any AI will not be able to “recover” the Gaia units on the map, and will in general have a lot of difficulty playing this map. If it manages to attract an iron boar or one of the other monsters, that will also cause any AI considerable difficulty.
That’s why I suggest using a hard difficulty if you are playing with AIs.

This is V2.0
>Center lands completely redesigned using shallows instead of walkable water
>Center no longer contains food and trees, but has more gold and stone
>Center now has map revealers
>More resources and gaia objects on the outside
>LudiKRIS size support added
>Nomad starting resources added

Known issues
If you play this map on the non-Steam version of the game, it will crash about 10% of the time. This is due to a bug in the connections generation section, which I have yet to find a fix for. This bug does not apply to the HD Edition on Steam.

@EBK_614 - Nope. If any of my maps require DLC, it will be stated explicitly in the description.

Ok, I've made a few more changes. There are two versions now - the SP version lets the AI start with buildings to give it a better chance. The MP version has everyone starting in the center. I'll publish this map in the steam workshop soon, so that everyone can enjoy it.

Any more feedback before I publish it?
