Description
Adds 5 better/more versions of the sensor array
No Updates will be supplied...

Drone Sensor Array (0.75x sensor range)
  • SightRadius: 600m
  • RadarRadius: 2000m
  • blueprint cost: 7.000
  • crew: 2
  • build costs:
    • steel 50
    • coil2 15
    • processor 3

Large Sensor Array (1.5x sensor range)
  • SightRadius: 1200m
  • RadarRadius: 3400m
  • blueprint cost: 70.000
  • crew: 4
  • build costs:
    • steel 240
    • coil2 64
    • processor 32
    • diamond 8

Huge Sensor Array (2x sensor range)
  • SightRadius: 1600m
  • RadarRadius: 4800m
  • blueprint cost: 700.000
  • crew: 5
  • build costs:
    • steel 360
    • coil2 128
    • processor 64
    • diamond 32

Space Station Sensor Array (5x sensor range)
more or less uselees because of the low render distance of the game. The ships/asteroids/stations won't spawn in a higher radius. But as requested i created it though.

  • crew: 6

Next Gen Sensor Array (10x sensor range)

He's been respectable about it tbh.
Changed the title, given the project link on GitHub, open-sourced the work.

That is above and beyond what most people do.
People/users tend to forget that modders do this stuff for free, for fun, in our own time.
Who knows what IRL circumstances changed, or why the modder had to move on to other stuff.
At least there is notification here!

And the mod will most likely still work in it's current state for a long time to come. It just won't be getting further support from the author.

Like others have asked, please fix this for the June update. Some of us have game saves and ship designs that rely on outdated mods.

BTW:

While I do like how the "Drone Sensor Array" requires only 2 crew instead of 4 and costs less, I was disappointed to see that it still takes up the same 3x3 Meters footprint as the vanilla Sensor Array (and all your other sensors). Would it be possible to make it 2x2 Meters? Well, I guess it is hard to redraw the graphics...

Also, the jump in price for the "Huge Sensor Array" blueprint (700,000 Credits) from the cheaper "Large Sensor Array" (70,000 Credits) makes it very prohibitively expensive. Then it doubles again to 1.4 million Credits? It seems downright excessive as I've never seen or heard of other mod's blueprints costing anything close to this.

Will this mod be updated to accommodate the late June update that added crew construction? As it stands, like many mods that add a part, it just crashes the game when trying to use it now. One of the issues seems to be that several base-game assets were renamed, resulting in failed calls from mods.

isn't 2.5km the limit for objectes loaded in memory? ie ships/stations don't physically exist past that besides just the background sim logging trader xyz visited station zyx and sold yxz resources
