Changed the title, given the project link on GitHub, open-sourced the work.
That is above and beyond what most people do.
People/users tend to forget that modders do this stuff for free, for fun, in our own time.
Who knows what IRL circumstances changed, or why the modder had to move on to other stuff.
At least there is notification here!
And the mod will most likely still work in it's current state for a long time to come. It just won't be getting further support from the author.
So I used your codebase for my own version of this mod.. I hope that was acceptable? I linked back to here and gave you credit as the inspiration.. many thanks for the fun I had whilst using this mod.
Here is a link to the version I made; Alternative Version Link
BTW:
While I do like how the "Drone Sensor Array" requires only 2 crew instead of 4 and costs less, I was disappointed to see that it still takes up the same 3x3 Meters footprint as the vanilla Sensor Array (and all your other sensors). Would it be possible to make it 2x2 Meters? Well, I guess it is hard to redraw the graphics...
Also, the jump in price for the "Huge Sensor Array" blueprint (700,000 Credits) from the cheaper "Large Sensor Array" (70,000 Credits) makes it very prohibitively expensive. Then it doubles again to 1.4 million Credits? It seems downright excessive as I've never seen or heard of other mod's blueprints costing anything close to this.
由于游戏的渲染距离较低,或多或少会使用。船只/小行星/空间站不会在更高的半径内产卵。但根据要求,我创建了它。

do you plan to update this to ajust the battery size like in the game patch 0.20.24 ? ^^
The scout sensor array was exactly what Prophet Of Merci requested and is build for drones.
I will probably change the name to drone sensor array...
@IronSIdes I thought so aswell but i would need to create completely new graphics (around 80 pics) and i am not a good graphics designer... i am better with programming :)
Maybe i will try to create a smaller one in the future.
I hope you honestly missed the "DRONE" part in my sentence. I know what a scout shit is, but i was talking about sensor probes/drones that can be shot into an area, and temporarily scan the area for you, or an extremely small vessel with a skeleton crew thats supposed to die.
Would rather not waste the crew though.
Scout ships with bad sensors? Scouts that cannot see anyone before they're seen themselves? I think you understand the word "scout" backwards. :D
@SoulBlade
On that note, I think that gameplay balance-wise a relatively good solution for scouts could be one of the radar properties exceptional and the other one bad. For example great radar range but abysmal visual range. That could be justified for example with small windows on the scout craft. Or the other way around; good visuals but very bad radar. That would be even easier to justify by having the ship make small radar footprint (of course that doesn't truly work in this game) and it would also be quite balanced gameplay-wise as detecting ships would require manually looking for them instead of just listening for automatic radar blips.
Note that this is not exactly a request. I was just throwing out some ideas in the context of Prophet's reasoning for bad sensors.
I had the time and motivation, so i just released an update with a smaller version. I hope you like it :)
Yes i can make a smaller version. Just give me a one or two days.
The weapon you mentioned is a nice idea, but it is far more complicated.
This is maybe a project for the future
Think you can make a version for Scout drones? Essentially me and the bois were gonna create some drones with a minimalist crew and speed, that we can use with a smaller radar system to dive into unexplored locations and search the place for us safely.
We just needed something that wont require as much crew but can still operate with 2 people, albeit with far less sensor coverage for balance reasons.
Or....maybe a weapon that shoots sensor missiles? Essentially could be manually targeted at a location, and when it reach that destination, it blows up and releases a sensor package for like 30 ingame seconds at normal speed? That way we can see whats their without risking our ships. Guess it should be used well beyond normal ranges.
Just an idea anyway
