WAR! The Final Evolutionary Tree
By Digitic
Well, this is it. It's been a long journey. Thank you all for reading, and I hope that this has been a good series for relaxing and unwinding after a long day.

Introduction
Suprise! As these two classes are very similar and have been paired together in an update to the game, I decided I would pair them together as well. As these are the last two classes I have to cover, this will be the last guide. At the end will be an archive of all of the guides, feel free to comment and tell me which one was your favorite! (Side note: If the paired classes are completely different from one another, there will be a line like the following:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And there will be two pictures for the section.)
Baby Soldiers/Baby Demomen
Normally there's a joke here. Read the conclusion, there's some important info there this time!

These guys have opposite problems. Soldiers try to arc their rockets and Demos try to fire their grenades straight (I guess throwing physics completely out the window while doing so). They're both inexperienced, aim straight for their target, and generally derp around.

Scenario: Anything that doesn't seem right about a Soldier or Demoman in their playstyle is a sign of a baby.

Loadout:
Stock

Location:
Usually just exploring the map.

Comparable Animal (joke/simplification of Playstyle):
Puppies

Advantages:
Sheer unpredictability and close-range MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction), basically blowing themselves up and taking you with them

Disadvantages: Self-harm and general lack of awareness.

How to beat them:
Fire your gun.
DemoTeens and Young Soldier
Always angry, always willing to bumrush.

These guys are like exploding versions of Baby Snipers. They tend to gather up at or near spawn, then charge at once towards the enemy. Seriously scary if they have a medic or a poor minisentryneer walks around a corner at the wrong time. Packs are usually 2 or 3, the largest I've seen is 6 (They won the round against our 3 engies). There are also rarer groups of uncoordinated, mixed packs of the two working together, but they're hard to spot (I've only seen 2 in 700 hours). Luckily, this stage only lasts until they meet a competent Pyro.

Scenario: You turn a corner to see 3 Soldiers charging straight at you. You rev your minigun, but get torn apart by a rain of explosions so powerful they reverberated back in time and killed all of the dinosaurs.

Loadout:
May be Original or Direct Hit
Stock/Buff Banner
Market Gardener/Equalizer

Location:
Anywhere there's another Soldier or Demoman

Comparable Animal:
Wolves with rockets and grenades

Advantages:
Teamwork in the pack and not being afraid to die stupidly and pointlessly

Disadvantages:
Area Of Effect weapons

How to beat them:
Airblasting their own rockets, Jarate (panics them, so they shoot wildly), and Level three sentries (and chins).
Demo/Solly Split
And here are the final remaining Subclasses to be documented in this series.

Do you:

Play "The Ground Is Lava" all the time? SollyBird or Demokite.

Use the alternate playstyles of your class? Buff Solly or Demoknight.

Troll your opponents (maybe with a Kritzkreig Med)? Trolldier or Demomean.

Absolutely hate explosive jumps? Grounded Solly and Demospammer.

Hate the little maggots who you gib every 20 seconds? Super Soldier and DemoLord.
SollyBird and Demokite

O'er the land in the air... And the home... of the... birrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrddddddddddsssss.

Anyway, Sollybirds and Demokites love to fly. They only rarely accomplish much by doing so, but they fly anyway. They enjoy taking as little damage as possible while setting up for a near-instakill hit.

Scenario: I'm in the air all the time, I'm in the air all the time*

Loadout:
Rocket Jumper or Liberty Launcher / Any
Gunboats or Concherer / Sticky Jumper
Market Gardener / UllaPool Caber or Bottle

Location: *meet the spy music* Right above you (seriously, NO ONE looks up).

Comparable Animal: Well... Birds.

Advantages: Flying and devastating hits upon landing.

Disadvantages: Nearly defenseless on the ground, easy to dodge incoming attacks if you spot them.

How to beat them: Either Sollybird yourself or nail them on the ground (or just snipe for the pros)

*sounds like (I whip my hair back and forth)
Demoknight and Buff Solly

*Scout voice* "Oh, hell yeah!"

Demoknights and Buff Sollys share very little in common, so they're being separated. First up is the Demoknight. Demoknights use swords and shields to chop off enemies' heads. Charge, kill, hide, repeat.

Scenario: Walking along the 2Fort bridge as a scout, returning the intel without a care in the world,(i know, tryhard 2Fort! I love 2Fort so much with competent players though. Anyway...) you see a Demoman drop down behind you. But he can't get you, you're faster than him. Suddenly, you hear a devilish scream, and the Demoman is on top of you in an instant, chopping your head off and securing the intelligence.

Loadout:
Any
Any Shield
Any Sword

Location:
Charging the enemy front lines.

Comparable Animal:
Cheetah.

Advantages:
Immense damage at the end of a charge and the fastest movement speed in the game.

Disadvantages: Melee only restriction and missing a charge leaves you close to an enemy and momentarily defenseless.

How to beat them: Dodge their charge and unload your whole clip on them. Or just go heavy.

///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

*Trumpet noises* Nope, doesn't work in real life.

Buff Sollies get angry, but instead of just launching more explosives with that anger, he uses it to give his teammates a nice boost! He also may recieve passive bonuses for himself based on his selection, too.

Scenario:
You're a decent Heavy guarding the entrance to your team's base from the sewers, and you've trapped a Frontier Justice Engie with crits and a Soldier in the corner. Suddenly, you hear what sounds vaguely like a conch shell... Suddenly the Engie comes darting around the corner and closes the distance to you way faster than he should, the Soldier right behind him. You rev up and kill the Engie in time, but take heavy damage, allowing the Soldier to kill you and regenerate fully for the next fight.

Loadout:
Any [Black Box] {Direct Hit}
Buff Banner [Concheror] {Battalion's Backup}
Any [Half-Zatoichi] {Escape Plan / Equalizer}

Location:
Near teammates and on the front line.

Comparable Animal:
Honey Badger

Advantages:
Buffed teammates are more effective in combat, and passive health or regen for himself.

Disadvantages:
Defenseless when activating his buff, generally useless setup without nearby teammates.

How to beat him:
Taarget him first with all you've got or catch him alone.
Trolldier and Demomean
Good lord. These guys are Demokites on steroids.

Another doubleheader section! Trolldiers fly around the map and bash people's heads in, like sollybirds. They just focus on the kills rather than the flying.

Scenario:
Every time you've ever taken a Market Garden to the back of the head.

Loadout:
Rocket Jumper
Mantreads (Or Gunboats for UberHard Trolldier)
Market Gardener

Location:
*sings poorly* I rocket jump into the air sometimes...

Comarable Animal:
Hawk

Advantages:
No one looks up to see the instakill.

Disadvantages:
Defenseless while reloading or on the ground.

How to beat him:
Don't stand still and keep firing.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Actually, depending on how you play, it's true. Not here.

Demomeans spam M1 + M2. They may have a Kritz med to help, or just spam away alone. But they will always spam.

Scenario:
Launch...Boom. Launch...Boom.

Loadout:
Irrelevant
Sticky Launcher
Irrelevant

Location:
At the enemy's front line or base.

Comparable Animal:
Shark

Advantages:
ALL THE SPAM!

Disadvantages:
Reloading and multiple routes to cover.

How to beat them:
Sneak a Spy past them or just use flanking routes.
Grounded Solly and Sticky Spammer
Just. Don't. Jump. Not even over that box.

Grounded Sollys have stopped rocket jumping to conserve health, ammo, and reaction time.
However, they've stopped for so long they can no longer successfully complete a jump! They're skilled, but they're not quite as maeuverable as the other Soldier versions.

Scenario:
Soldiers that just walk onto a battlefield without a care in the world, then blow everyone up.

Loadout:
Varies on playstyle

Location:
Slowly running towards the front line.

Animal:
Hippo.

Advantages:
Always has a full clip and 200 health to start off a battle.

Disadvantages:
Slower movement and less maneuverability.

How to beat him:
Ambush him.

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Whoops. This is actually Demomean. Yay for repeats!
Super Soldier and DemoLord

And now we're REALLY in trouble.

Super Soldiers and Demolords have mastered the class as best they can. They can hit airshots, rocketjump at max efficiency, pick out a target and lead their shots, and use the correct weapon at the correct range.

Scenario:
You keep getting gibbed, despite doing your best to double jump over those projectiles.

Loadout:
Varies

Location:
Where they're most effective.

Animal:
Lions.

Advantages:
Proper use of ALL of their chosen class' mechanics.

Disadvantages:
Low clip size.

How to beat them:
Nail them while they're reloading or retreat to reinforcements.
Conclusion
Well, this is the end of the entire series... Wow. It's been a long ride, and I truly do appreciate all of the support from the community (It wasn't going to be a series in the first place, but you guys asked me to make a series). I've looked through some profiles, and I love the guides that members of the community have written! Keep making guides, and you'll refine your process as you go along. Just write down your idea and make a guide out of it! But, seriously, I appreciate all that you've all done for me, thank you, and for the final time, go enjoy the new list of sub-classes.

But I'm not done yet! I have a group on Steam here:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/groups/tipstrickssubclasses

I'm also willing to help any member of the community with their guide, so just shoot me a message for ideas, critiques, or editing work!

Finally, I also am starting a new series called "TF2 College"! It will be like a college, teaching new mechanics, weapons, abilities, etc., etc. I still don't have an image for it yet though, so hopefully someone can make one and shoot me a link to use it (if anyone could, that'd be great, I lose to potatoes in drawing contests). It will start out basic (The first one is about the HUD), but it should appeal to veteran players too in the future.

And here's an archive in case you missed a guide or you just want to reread! They're in reverse chronological order (so newer first).

Low end super soldier (not good at airshots, but everything else is there); probably demoteen since I can correctly use everything (and I don't sticky spam like a noob would) except the grenade launcher long range, haven't quite got the hang of arcing it yet.

Where are the Creative soldier and demo? The ones that play wonky but not in a known wonky way?

Still not at the Super Soldier phase yet, but I'm getting there. As for Demoman, I've got a loooong way to go, barely hit anything with my pipes.

Demoman = Mostly a Demoknight, when I use Quickiebombs, I'm a Demomean.
Soldier = When not using Gunboats, Grounded Solly or Buff Solly, I rocket jump, but very rarely, since unlike Gunboats, you take 40 damage average per rocket. If using Gunboats, SollyBird.
