Hello!

This is a little overhaul to improve mining experience.
Features:
- New Tier 2 Front Mining Laser! (there is also a standalone for this if you only want the laser)
- About -66% asteroid quantity but +300% better asteroids
- Higher value nodes take a bit longer to mine (witch feels suprisingly good because you know you hit a big node if it takes a sec longer)
- made asteroids in generell less likely to be small. they are now most likely at least medium size. to keep balance i made rare asteroid (gold ect.) slightly less common. (1/20 instead of 1/16)
- some other small tweaks

soon:
- another mining laser this will be a huge deck mining laser. (I think it will be verry expensive and mostly a thing for rich ppl that want to see asteroids exploding but feel free to tell me what you think it could be)
- ill add back more empty asteroids in the asteroidbelt/field for the better looks and immersion but i dont want it to be so many that ships ai freaks out. stil figuring out a sweet spot
- ideas?

I made this mod because I wanted to give my friends a mod that allows different levels of engagement in mining.
I want you to be able to build specialised ships for mining.
I think the vanilla mining laser is good, but building more of them doesn't really make them better and since they are a deck weapon, almost every ship can fit one of them.
Don't get me wrong, I think it's nice if every ship can do basic mining.
but it wasn't worth it to make a dedicated mining ship. multiple lasers just drill at different angles and you can't scale the dmg properly. so i made a mod!
i built a new mining laser that is not a deck version. this has several advantages:
first, you can just stack it with vanilla deck mining lasers, so you get more dmg in a small area and can focus on specific areas, which is much better in my eyes.
It's also a big safety issue for battleships as it has to be built on the surface of the ship.
This makes it more worthwhile to build special mining ships that don't need to fight as much, but are much better at mining than special combat ships.For this reason I also kept the combat damage of the new mining laser as low as in Vanilla, but increased the asteroid damage a lot (about 3x as much damage).
Also, the turret speed has been slightly improved so that the laser doesn't interrupt mining as often when the ship manoeuvres!
It now feels great to drill through asteroids!
I also felt this stop and go playstyle from asteroid to asteroid felt bad. some other mod creators (Liea's mod "Reworked Asteroid Mining 3x/6x/9x" and "SirCampalot"'s Mod "Less dense asteroids")
had good ideas on how to counteract that but i felt they did not hit the spot (for me) with the numbers (very subjective! test their mods!). So I did my own version with some extras.

if you have any suggestions, feel free to let me know, but be aware that i am not a programmer and it took me two whole days to create this simple mod. But for me its stil work in progress.

Also note that I did a standalone of the Mining Laser
I also did some ammo stacking and production rebalance. (coming soon)

It's mostly for my friends, but you might like it too!

Same issue as Halalabubu here. Unable to make use of the front lasers anymore.

Whenever I build the large laser the game crashes and throws this error
"System.InvalidOperationException: No component named 'Turret' in part 'skillt.big_mining_laser'"
(game version is 23.0f)

Does this mod change how the crew collects items? Because my crew doesn't. I am trying to find the responsible mod, because although the stuff just teleporting in my ship is nice and all, it is a bit too cheaty for me.

@SkillT: I didn't have yet time to test this so I didn't notice that. I subbed to your mod but my game started to crash probably due to some other mod not being updated and wasn't feeling to get rid of any just yet. But thanks for your suggestion. I'm sure to try it after my mod issues are sorted.

@Toj Karin there are random asteroids in the game already you can look into my mod and find it in the mod rules doc. copy that and make your own mod! (you have permission to use everything i did except the big mining laser!) :) then you can make the number of random asteroids in the system very high! :D however i dont want that in my mod sorry for that! :/
