Description
CURRENTLY MOST BEASTMEN ASIDE FROM ANACONDAS AND WOLVERINES ARE AFFLICTED BY [MEANDERER]. THIS BASICALLY MAKES THEM UNPLAYABLE. I'M WORKING ON AN EASIER FIX BUT UNTIL THEN JUST MAKE THE EDIT gods worst gamer SUGGESTED, I HONESTLY DON'T KNOW WHY THAT ISNT IN VANILLA ANYWAYS.

Lets you start a fort as goblins, elves etc in addition to dwarves. Few other changes, so considering the game isn't designed around those races it will be a little wonky. This is just a super basic thing for people who don't want to learn how to mess around with raws, I'm sure someone will make something better really soon. ALSO THERE IS A README NOW so if you want more info just look in the files.

IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING A BUG, TRY DELETING THE OLD INSTALLED FILES AND UNSUBSCRIBE&RESUBSCRIBE.

IMPORTANT: Don't attempt to name your kobold forts or government. Kobolds dont have a proper language so if you attempt to do this the game will probably crash. Nothing I can do about this without completely changing how they play.

NEW FEATURE: Elves can now grow wood! You can take a log to a carpenter's workshop and clone it, so BRING WOOD AT EMBARK WITH ELVES. You can also take mass produce wooden logs to encourage building big wood forts and stuff. Please be careful when trading though, I'm looking into how to keep generated wood from not annoying other elves but as of right now if you give them something you "grew" it will probably make them angry.

I added two new civs! One can be any number of mammalian carnivores, the other very large reptiles. They're very basic right now and pretty close to humans in terms of civ structure but that will change. Make sure you bring enough animals to feed your fort!





I'M WORKING ON ADDING BEASTMEN! If you wan a specific species, lemme know. However I probably won't add in anything that can fly purely because flying races come with a whole host of bugs that are very difficult to fix. (Caravans dropping donkeys from a million miles up when they fly onto the map then blaming you for it. High altitude aerial births (maybe this one got fixed cr). Landing in a tree then forgetting they know how to fly.)

probably way too late for this input but all my animal men are obsessed with fighting and are constantly embarrassed about not having shirts despite none of them having or being able to make shirts.

Question if I am playing Dwarves, will this allow me to use races inside my fortress? I.e. form squads of elves, humans etc in fortress mode?

Can you make an alternate version with just the default races? (Dwarves, Elves, Kobolds, Goblins?)

I want kobolds to be playable but the issue is since this mod adds so many different races, when you generate a world, you end up with more of the non vanilla races and the vanilla ones are super rare and have low pops.

under some of the animal men for leader, it says Aplha instead of Alpha, is that Dwarfen spelling haha or?

Hey is this possible to add to an ongoing world manually? Does it add any items to the game or just edit the raws to make these races controllable?

Update! holy crap they hatched!! I just had 13 babies pop out of a nest! oh god! im so screwed on food, but this is super awesome to find out.

So a race ive been enjoying playing are the alligator and salt water crocodile people but ive noticed something. They lay eggs in my nesting boxes. I have yet to see any children from these boxes but I would like to ask if this is possible, and I am also concerned if it is. Mainly because they lay a stupid amount of eggs. Not sure what can be done on this side of things, but it would be cool if there was a low chance for children to be born from the eggs. like 1 in 20 or something.

It's messed up but I have had to fall back on eating them a few times... neither of these guys eat fruits/vegetables.

Aside from that, It would be awesome if there was a way to choose the civilization races that appear when you generate a world.

the only thing i have noticed so far is minecarts missing. for beast races. but otherwise nice mod.

I like the mod but went to take a break from playing for a bit then came back and before I started I came here to suggest removing meander tag from animal people then saw you already did it. Keep up the good work now I won't have the slowpoke crocodile people marching for 2 months just to get to the trade depot and have half a week to trade before they leave
