Description


This mod is inspired by SFO Additional Units for WH2 and is in no way a replacement of that mod as I simply wanted to make my own units my own way. I see this project as a way to add some more flavor to the game and to some of the factions that I usually don't play in an attempt to push me to do just that. Play them. Most units come from the Warhammer Wiki (or my own ideas) and will try to lean towards that.

NOTICE: The other units I want to remake their kitbashes and improve on them even more as I reworked the chaos champions to a more advanced look. some with new textures and special attack anims.

Mod is subject to changes and updates as I work more but wont be too frequent as I want to ensure campaign balance and tech will work with each unit perfectly.

Not sure if any other mods can add more skill or whatever that would buff units other than that one and no it is not required.



- This is obviously made for SFO and tested for ultra unit size. Anything else will vary in results if you do choose to play on lower unit settings and I am not a balance wizard Harry.

- I use no assets (other than the game) or anything from anyone else as I have painted the textures myself and made everything from scratch. That being said if you find something you like ask me to use anything in it before and I'll be cool about it.

- EDIT: I only use the banners skeleton and mesh from Venris's Standard bearer mod and no it is not required perms were open.

- This is my first mod in this game but not my first mod in general. I am aware that people will ask for x,y and z and will say what they like and don't like. I would like to express that the info to make your own mods is out there so learn and do it and that if you don't like a mod simply don't use it.

- This as I said and in the title is for SFO. Please do not report issues if you are playing with this mod in a vanilla campaign or with non-SFO compatible mods. I do not use Zharhammer or plan to make this vanilla compatible because this already took me weeks to make. This mod will be SFO exclusive creation only and I would like to keep it that way please.

Please enjoy my pain from having to troubleshoot and learn everything from scratch as a solo effort.

- While sticking to the lore as best as I can and not going too out of line some will be what I call a creative liberty so if you don't like a unit just don't recruit them.
- Legendary units are strong as they should be for obvious reasons while I am still working on this mod I will adjust them as I see fit.
- I am not a balance wizard but aim to test everything as best as I can please be patient with me.
- Some units have VFX tied to them because I wanted them to stand out and because I wanted them to. Sorry but also not sorry about that.

- Caps system may or may not work and certain techs are still being tested to ensure that each unit is either in line or can be improved through the trees of lords that improve those said type of units.

- Certain techs and units are needed to be tied in if I have missed any. Hard to check everything thoroughly since this is a one man project as of launch hence the title BETA. Things are subject to change so please be reasonable.

- Some vfx lack sound. Not sure how this works and why it doesn't but I couldn't be bothered to fix it when there was more work to do so I will get to it when I can.



- Obviously more units for each faction but I work full time and stream on twitch (not warhammer) so please have some patience as I intend to add more. I was just excited to share this with you as it is now as a sorta proof of concept for what is to come.

- Banners for vanilla units but not sure exactly how long that will take to complete just one faction. It's just me doing it all. With that being said you can contact me in common modding discord if you are interested in helping.

- Vanilla version of this mod I might allow depending on who asks me to do it any other versions without perms is still a no from me.

- If you are looking to help or want to suggest something in whatever regard feel free to do so if you are looking for a mod list to play SFO at a overly egregious high quality then check out my collection here. Weaker machines might want to turn off the 4k mods for performance. this mod was built with this collection as a testing ground so they should all work together fine.

@falx Little gift update for the kind words no new flags for other chaos units but made a brand new set of flags (7 total) that will randomly be "chosen" for all of the chosen (norm/gw/halberds) units.

Still working on the poles but the banners are done for them. Enjoy the new look. Keep checking back here for more updates and if you wish to see more feel free to add me on discord or add me. Thank you for enjoying my work.

@falx yes yes I am currently trying to put out more of the banners for the other vanilla units as best I can. I first want to finish banners then I will focus on officers then after that we will get more factions tackled if they havent been touched on.

However I will not it might be hard to make maybe more officers for certain units if the assets are lacking in number for them such as aspiring champs. They legit got only 3 variants total.

My units were the only god flags designed so far but do not worry as I do plan to finish Chaos first. If you want to see my work and progress I am currently in ZC's server where you can see my WIP's pics there.

This is an excellent mod. I really liked the quality ..After installing this mod, at first I did not see anywhere the banners for the units of Chaos, Tzinch and Nurgle. But then I saw them. It turned out that there are very few units with banners. They are mostly “select” units.
In some mods that have flag bearers and officers, there seem to be a lot more units with banners (as seen in the banner mod for Empire by ZС).
Maybe there is some possibility to increase the number of officers and, respectively, and flag bearers. :steamthumbsup:

@Videogamer40000 np tried to get all the stuff down as best I can from your picks although not sure on slaanesh still give it a try and if you play a campaign check for any bugs or techs missed out on.

Also if you see any skill mods or of the sort like "Singe's Skills" lemme know so I can make them compatible.

@videogamer40000 Updated and found mass had to make unique battle_entity related table work to get them close.

Other than that some flags out now for vanilla units.
