Mineable Sundiver Megaroids

Description
Replaces all default (mostly empty) asteroids that are within the sundamage area with mostly large asteroids containing iron AND copper and at least one rare resource. These asteroids contain no worthless empty rock whatsoever, making them much more profitable to mine compared to the default sundiver asteroids which are mostly empty rock.

This mod does aim to provide a good mix of larger and smaller asteroids. The smaller asteroids will obviously be somewhat easier to drag to outside of the sundamage zone, where the processing of these very valuable asteroids can begin.

This mod also slightly increases the total amount of sundamage asteroids that will spawn. Also, the area in which these asteroids will spawn has been slightly enlarged, so some of these sundiver asteroids may spawn closer to the edge of the sundamage boundary.

.

Don't try to fly into the sundamage area unprepared, you will fry into a crisp in no time. Also (as of writing of this mod intro) it is impossible to pick up any dropped resources in the sundamage zone, so the asteroids within it must be dragged out whole before they can be mined.
EDIT: I have since made a mod that enables the harvesting of resources within the sundamage zone without having to take out and risk your crew. It's called the Sundamage Zone Resources Grabber Mod and it can be downloaded from here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2948856974

.

The asteroids in this mod are based on the Mineable Megaroid - Cheating Edition asteroids, but I don't consider this mod a cheat because of the larger investment and effort required to be able to mine these asteroids. You can't just park a mining ship next to these asteroids and start mining its minerals because the sun damage will kill any crew that ventures outside. Expensive specialist equipment and a lot of manual work is needed to harvest these asteroids from the deadly sundamage area before you can mine them, so I think the reward should also be better :).

This is a standalone mod.

.

This mod is fully compatible with my other asteroid mods, except for the mod No Asteroids. If you use both of these mods, nothing will break or crash, but No Asteroids will prevent the modified asteroids from this mod from spawning.

Version 1.1.0 will support Cosmoteer version 0.26.2 from now on. Previous versions will no longer work due to changes in how asteroids are spawned.

@Thundercraft:
Mineable Megaroids and the MM Compatibility Patch do not affect the sundamage zone in any way.

The reason for this is that, at the time of me working on Mineable Megaroids, I had never heard of a sundiver before (we kinda didn't know yet how we were supposed to even get to thesee asteroids).

Also I didn't sundive myself, so I didn't create this mod until much later. Having said that, I think it would actually be a good idea to create an Extended Tech Tree Mod version of this mod.

Using this mod will net you a lot more of all the default asteroids, but these asteroids will not contain any silver nor any letalium.

ANyway, I think creating an ETTM version of this mod is actually a good idea!

I see that this is a stand-alone mod. Does this mod overlap at all with the 'Mineable Megaroids' mod or the 'Mineable Megaroids (silver & letalium) - Extended Tech Tree Compatibility Patch' mod?

I'm just wondering if the other two mods I mentioned already affect the (mostly empty) asteroids that are within the sundamage area?

Version 1.0.1 updates the supported Cosmoteer version, to get rid of the "incompatible mod" message.
No other changes were made.

@jaydeng1000:
In unmodded, yes

Yes, you have to pull it out before you mine it

Thank you

"Expensive specialist equipment" = blue pull and push beam go brrrrr

then You can just park a mining ship next to these asteroids and start mining

still cool mod tho
