Description
Nerfs skaven.

How do?
Simply edits three db tables to do the following:
- No hidden settlements. They stink too much, so be way too obvious anyways.
- Plague duration reduced to 3(from 5), spread count max to 15(from 25), force to force spread chance reduce to 20(from 25), region to force chance down to 15(from 25). Region to region and battle chances left untouched.
- Slight nerf in faction potential table for most rat factions (or at least the ones I've observed so far who stink the most)

Why do this to those "precious" disgusting trash eating rodents though?
Look skaven are...cool and all, but they have a lot of advantages on the campaign map, and few disadvantages. This attempts to nerf them down a bit to give factions like Kislev(for one example beyond every single faction in the game isn't a player) more of a fighting chance and maybe a few campaigns for you that aren't just skaven painting the map by turn 100 every time because other AI too derp to figure out where they are other than obviously everywhere all the time.

Maybe cut down on the seemingly endless super plagues too, think we've all had enough of that ish' lately.

Skaven are cool, in fact Ikit is basically my spirit animal while modding. Love good mad scientist character. However I totally get being irked by them in campaign, simply finding them revolting or that certain factions simply get it tougher with starts near certain skaven factions in this campaign. So I made this. I don’t even personally use it. Please-please be nice in the comments.

After a short few turns as Skryre in a fresh campaign without this mod, I've come to understand why Skaven needed their settlements hidden. One, it confuses the AI. Two, all of the major Skaven factions spawn next to much more powerful neighbors, and would be wiped pretty quickly if said neighbors knew how to get to them. Skaven T1 units are basically fodder compared to other faction's T1 units.

I made this observation after remembering that Skryre starts next to Morghur. Yes, the Beastman with 95% Missile Resistance. THAT one. :lunar2020ratinablanket:

SFO I’ve never tried but I’d suspect it will as they usually add new mechanics and do less messing around with vanilla stuff(from what I’ve seen, only played one campaign with it in 2), and this just edits few vanilla tables right.

Huh, ya had no clue about that, I mean I get corruption supposed mess with non allied(to that corruption, not dilpo) factions but seems odd effects allies too. Ya, thx for explaining it more, I’ll take a looksie this weekend if have a chance, wanted to learn more about corruption mechanics in general anyways so good excuse :)

The effect happens when you have a region adjacent to any Skaven-owned region and I'm pretty sure it's base on the Skaven corruption of the touched region. Doesn't matter if they are hidden, at war, at peace, your ally, any of it

It's a huge debuff to everyone next to a Skaven territory just for them existing. I get that they are saboteurs and infestors, but damn it's a rather large debuff.

Also, do you know if this works with SFO? Thanks again for the great mod either way!

Huh, never thought of that before. It should be okay, but I’ll give it a test run later today once done work(sorry this one slipped my mind as was focusing on others over weekend).

Skaven is one of my favorite factions and I enjoy playing them with this mod.
I like the campaign map changes, makes enemies more predictable.
Could use an Update whenever you can.

Upvoted. Would be nice if you could include a nerf to the -10 Control / -5 Friendly Corruption that you get for touching any single skaven province. It's BS and OP.
