Dynamic Garrisons

Description
This mod provides the following:
- City garrisons that provide an immersive reflection of the city's place and purpose in your empire, instead of cookie cutter copies in every city.
- A varied experience when assaulting or defending cities instead of fighting or commanding the same lineup of defenders in every battle.
- A Hero commander for every single garrison. (No army should be missing a character in Warhammer. What are they thinking?)

This mod strips down the garrisons provided by the Settlement building chain for every faction to a smaller base of core troops, but almost every structure you build in your cities will provide garrison units of their own and upgraded building chains will provide better guardians. These defenders will represent the buildings they come with, hired guards or conscripted workforce for economic building chains and soldiers in residence or in training for military structures.

Military infrastructure will provide the best garrisons while economic will provide the worst, and other buildings will be in between, so a city focused on troop recruitment and army support will logically be a tough target to assault, while cities focused on trade and industry will be more vulnerable to attack and require a watchful eye.

Naturally, cities with more building slots will grow to have larger garrisons, meaning that capital cities will end up with better garrisons than other cites.

Overall, cities will be more vulnerable unless you purposefully concentrate defense and basic military buildings in a city. This is to give strategic choice in which settlements will be dedication to your economy, research, or advanced military, and which will be defensive points.

FAQ
- Save game compatible
- I do not know about compatibility with other mods, just try it
- Garrisons on average will start smaller until you build defense and basic military buildings because the main settlement chain has less garrison units.

Blazing Suns building gets 2 Blazing Suns Knights and 2 swordsmen...Knights Panther gets 2 Empire Knights.

@SpiralRazor Accoring to the source material, pistoliers are knights-in-training and swordsmen serve the knights. There also must be a cost balance and I cannot just pile on expensive knights.

Swordsman and Pistoliers for Black Rose Chapter House??

Whats the justification?

Hi Iron,
I have a query regarding your mod in conjunction with Cataph's Southern Realms (TEB). When your mod is active, the Southern Realms factions do not have any garrisons in their settlements and are therefore often overrun quite quickly.
Does your mod not work with Cataph's Southern Realms (TEB)?

@Viperarum I have seen other players post about this issue, but it is not something I have been able to replicate. I suggest trying this mod without other mods to see if it is a conflict.

im testing the mod right now and i cant figure out if its intentional or if some other mod interferes with this but Vampire Counts almost have no garrison other than a Wight King at all
I tried to mix some other garrison mods in like "Greater Garrisons" but nothing changes
Seems pretty weird to me that VC have only 1 hero as garrison and no other troops at all
This issue can be seen for player controlled VC and for ai controlled VC

@Antagonistes, This is as intended. You need to defend your cities unless you build a strong garrison. The game should not had you and impregnable fortress at the start of the game in my opinion because I do not see how anything would ever threaten you if it did.

@Target Yes, currently economic structures do not have garrisons below tier 3 and only a flimsy addition above that.
