Move this mod above Part 1 in Mod Manager!

This submod removes recently added Equipment and Medieval II style diplomacy mechanics. You can use it if its too hard for you to play Medieval 1100 AD campaign with these new scripts.

Equipment system works this way. Every unit now needs certain equipment for recruitment. There are 4 equipment types: weaponry, medium armor, heavy armor and horses. All units need weaponry to recruit; some units need medium or heavy armor. Cavalry require horses. Every city has own equipment storage which you can fill. Industry buildings and resource settlements produce certain equipment. When you import via trade handicrafts (for weaponry) or horses (for horses), you gain related equipment in capital. Also you can take fallen units gear after won battle. Finally, there are new caravan units which can transfer needed equipment between cities.

Medieval II style diplomacy allow player negotiate with other factions only if he has common border, alliance or trade with this faction or emissaries in its capital or generals in AI faction's lands. Also new diplomacy system affects AI as well, so AI will not declare wars to far away factions. As you can see this system is more deep than in Medieval II where u could send only emissaries to negotiate.

Easy/Normal difficulty + Soft submod could improve situation. I will not make mod easier cause I know many players which like challenge on VH or legendary level. So just use options I offered.

Whilst the author is most assuredly better at this modding stuff than myself, all credit goes to author for good job, this mod, as mentioned needs some work. Unit movement speed seems to be slower than AI on battle map, like my units dont run. at all. AI totally over powered re armies it can raise so as England you will be attacked from all angles barring the north, including sea invasions from east, enemies from west and south, who can send in two full stacks before you have the oppo for one, so essentially you're steam rolled with a few turns or so out of pocket trying to keep up, that random events such as papacy demanding funds from you, but if you don't big penalties, you either have no armies or no cash and suffer because of either in very detrimental ways. Ive got years and years of playing total war series, so not like im new or dont know what im doing but this was not an enjoyable mod for myself, but massive credit to author for producing what you did.
