Osiris's Empires: Ancient Civilizations

Description
Osiris's Empires: Ancient Civilizations
If you like this mod, please rate/like/favorite!

Tired of the same old vanilla empires? Want a mod that leverages some of the best ship, traits, namelists, and civics mods available to bring you empires with flavor, soul and weight to them? Look no further.

Osiris presents the first of his handcrafted empire mods, Ancient Empires, alien civilizations based on ancient human history. In Ancient Civilizations, ship sets, empire room backgrounds, species text, civics and traits are all selected to suit a particular theme and suggest a role-played playstyle for each empire. See the screenshots above for more information.

The Osirian Dynastic Star Empire
In the beginning, we hewed stone from the land. From stone we built foundations. Upon foundations we built monuments to glorify the gods that walked the land and the gods that ruled the heavens. When we finished with the land, we built monuments to reach for the stars and in so doing, stand at the gates of heaven. Now we build again. We build our throne amongst the gods. Such is the will of the Osirian Divine Star Empire.
The Atlantean Republic
The Sea is Mother, and Mother is Goddess. From Her, all is born, and to Her, all shall die. The strands of her spirit intertwine in a double-helical embrace in all of us, and in doing so, we are all a part in her. As we share in her power to make life, we share in her burden to preserve and spread it. In reaching for the stars, we extend Her hand to barren worlds to spread her Sea and look for others, who in accepting her double-helical embrace, arise.
Imperium Galacticum
For endless centuries, other Cevanti clans fought amongst themselves. Instead, we listened. We alone heeded the alien message that reached our planet. It taught of another world's history, and of a great empire that united half their world. Enthralled, we listened, we learned, amd we bent the rest of the Cevanti to our will. Thus the Imperium Galacticum was born.
Shogunate of the Three Suns
For as long as our three suns, Amaterasu, Susanowo, and Tsukuyomi graced our skies, our astronomers spoke of a great shadow that patrolled the heavens between them. When our scientists gifted us with the sight of the stars, the nature of the shadow was revealed and the nature of our reality was forever changed. The myth of the Great Dragon God Watatsumi was myth no more, for as we see him with our eyes, we bow before him. Now that we take to the stars to bask in his presence, we know what we must do. For the Dragon God is worthy of more than three suns that he protects. In his name, we seek new worlds.
The Kingdom of Aesir
Strong or weak. Conqueror or vanquished. Soldier or slave. With your prowess, or lack thereof, you will decide how you will serve the Kingdom of Aesir.

Osiris's Empires Mods List
I have the following Osiris's Empires mods, released or in development, which will be released in the order listed.

1. Ancient Civilizations
2. Human Diaspora
3. Machinations
4. Dark Stars: 6 empires with mysterious and dark intentions.
5. Alien Civilizations: 9 alien empires with a variety of flavor.
6. Of Crime and Commerce: corporations, criminal orgs, and trade unions.

Mod Dependencies and Load Order

In order to have the creative freedom to make these empires, there are quite a few mod dependencies. The good news is that my planned empire mods will use most of these as well, and only likely only add a few more to the list. To lighten the load on you a bit, I've packaged several of the dependencies into a single pack. This pack contains the ship and emblem dependencies. Soon I'll update the description of this dependency mod with proper attribution to the original authors.

In terms of load order, I'm not sure it matters but this works for me:

Osiris's Empires Mods
Osiris's Namelists for Stellaris
Osiris's Empires Dependencies
z Expanded Traits, Civics, Pops and More
Planetary Diversity
UI Overhaul Dynamic
UI Overhaul + PD
Stellaris Evolved Alpha

Known Issues

-There are some weird display issues with Stellaris showing ships in the preview window of the empire screen. To see the ships for the empires it's best to go into the empire editor.
-Other mods that mess with the color palettes in the game may cause the empires not to show up.
-Mods that cause conflicts with the listed dependencies can cause the empires to not show up.

If you run into problems, please post below and I'll do my best to resolve them.

Support My Creativity

I know the last thing you want is another modder asking you for money, so I won't ask for that. But if you appreciate the creativity and countless hours of work I've put into this and my other mods, please consider supporting my aspirations as a speculative fiction author. Visit "Spec Arabesque", my speculative fiction Substack site, where you can read the first part of any story I publish for free, or enroll in a paid subscription to read and comment on all the content available now and in the future. Rest assured, I put the same love and attention into my creative writing as I do my mods. See for yourself:

Does the mod still work in 3.14?

Thanks for catching the typo, it should be Atlantrean. I will fix it up.

All namelists are from my namelist mod. I actually created a tool for cresting Namelists from a CSV. If you sent me a CSV in the right format I could add it to my mod, with attribution to you.

Just click on "Osiris's Namelists for Stellaris" on the right side under the required mods list. I wrote some instructions in there.

In the screen shot, it says "Antlantean" and in the Text of the mod it says Atlantean, which is it?

Are these unique namelists?

If I sent you a name list of content, would you format it for me? It's sort of a elvish/space faring namelist.
