Just Fire The Dang Thing! (WOTC) (WSR)

Description
This mod is an attempt at speeding up the firing animations for XCOM's plasma weapons to make them fire as quickly as conventional tiered weapons.
The way this was done is somewhat crude, as most weapons will be missing their fancy particles, spinning parts and have inconsistent muzzle flashes (Unlike Faster Firing Animation for the Beam Vektor Rifle by Veehementia).

Weapons affected + notes: (Check the attached video for previews of each weapon)

-Plasma Rifle
Uses CV Assault Rifle animations, missing animations and beam fires from tip of the rifle (Like the Spectre's rifle)

-Storm Gun
Uses MG Shotgun anims, beam exits from tip of gun, but is a lot snappier and the recoil doesn't look too off

-Beam Cannon
Uses CV Cannon anims, very inconsistent muzzle flash and no animations, magazine also sticks out the side of the gun which I guess looks cool

-Beam Pistol
Uses MG Pistol anims, a bit weird seeing a beam weapon with recoil, but looks infinitely better when using faceoff against a lost horde

-Elerium Phase-Cannon
Uses CV Spark Rifle anims, inconsistent muzzle flash, no sounds, doesn't look all that great, but it at least fires much faster

-Kal-90 Bullpup
Uses CV Bullpup anims, no animations but barely noticeable, feels a lot better overall (Even restores the soldier's facial animations when firing, which were absent in the plasma tier)

-Beam Autopistol
Uses MG Autopistol anims, no animations but barely noticeable, looks a lot better than before

-Powered Shadowkeeper
Same as the Beam Pistol, has recoil but retains its hammer animation when firing

-Scramgun (LW2 SMGs)
Uses CV SMG anims, which are the same as the assault rifle animations

This mod does NOT:
Change any weapon stats (All changes are cosmetic)
Speed up firing animations for alien weapons (unfortunately...)
Remove the dreadful twitch whenever someone misses that's been there since day 1
Make Rangers pump their shotgun faster by removing their 1.5 second thousand yard stare after they fire
Affect the Plasma Lance (Snipers fire at the same speed across all tiers)
Affect the Shadow Lance (Use the required mod by Veheementia instead)

This is why i prefered mag tier and why the chosen weapons were better belonging to that level in terms of effects

Even without the partical effects I like the assault rifle animation a lot more like this. It always bothered me the lightweight automatic weapon of the game turned into a slow firing single shot weapon. So this mod at least lets it keep some of that feeling of agility from earlier tiers. :steamthumbsup:

Amazing! I always hated plasma tier because of the stupid delay between pulling the trigger and the weapon firing.

I'm guessing not, but is this compatible with other animation mods like the barrel spin-up animation for the cannon?

The pistol and rifle/shotgun look kind of weird since the beam extends from where the weapon recoils.

Love this mod. Seems inconsequential but when you've got a squad of 8 all using plasma weps it adds up. Thanks a bunch.

@What's An Airport? Should be, but this mod doesn't affect pulse laser weapons, which also have charge-up animations (Some weapons look especially wonky with different animation sets).
